I don't mine or game, but this is a killer at Sony Vegas acceleration. Yea, I'm a Fanboy and I'm just excited to support new technology and see whatcthey can do in the future.
For the number of years we've been with AMD, I just know this cannot go wrong, I don't care about power consumption, nor about heat output, the world is melting anyway, I'm just so happy that AMD is finally trying to do something about the competition in this market, and I'm willing to support that...
I've given this review five stars because I believe the improvements made with this card will fuel a new generation of amazing stuff from AMD and I want to support that cause. Getting Gigabyte because of quality and past experience, I'm still using my i7 2600k @ 4.7Ghz on a Gigabyte board since...
New AMD driver should double if not triple the hash power on this beast.
It is comparable to the GTX 1080 which is $500.
First card made a moderately loud buzzing noise and locked up the computer several times. I RMA'ed it and the replacement has been running like a champ. Some driver issues in the beginning and it's not as good of a value as the GTX 1080 but I saved $200 on my Freesync monitor.
I bought this to match our new 3440x1440 34" Free sync monitor and it worked very well. I returned this card because it is very loud once you start a game. During normal operation the card is completely silent but once it starts the fan running it really takes away from the gaming experience.
The GTX 1080 is $150 cheaper and performs slightly better.
way over priced should be 500 to 600 not 900 for 900 i would just buy a 1080ti which blows this card out of the water its like buying a pinto for lamborghini prices who would do that?
$499 graphics card at 1000$ ? 30% more powerful 1080TI only costs 709$ and this card uses 516w at full load compared to 340 of 1080TI.. this card is actually not even with 499 considering the electricity bill we have to pay for buying it and it's slower than competition
