Gibson Custom L5 Premier Acoustic Guitar Regular Sunburst Sunburst

Prior to the advent of amplification, the L5 carved acoustic guitar was a preferred guitar some of the greatest players and was the basis for D'Angelico and other great luthiers models, and is revered to this day. Original L5 Premiers are extremely rare and difficult to find.Gibson Custom has now built a small quantity of these very special carved acoustic guitars for the special player or collector who wants to be one of fewer than 10 people on the planet to own one of these rarest of iconic guitars. Built to original spec and acoustically braced, the raw materials in this guitar are the most select maple and spruce. Gibson Custom had to wait for months before they found maple and spruce that met the spec for this Premier guitar. These modern takes on the classic model have a 3-piece neck (maple, walnut strip, maple) and feature bracing done th way it was done originally. The treble side long brace is straight front to back, while the bass side veers to left at the bottom. The binding is scraped after antiquing to give it more of a vintage color with the crisp white binding. Other appointments include Schaller M6 tuning machines, an ABR-1 bridge with Corian nut, and a Vintage Sunburst finish.
