Nice, simple hood. Nothing special, but does the job

I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of this GE PVX7300SJSS over the range hood! Installation was very simple, the touchscreen panel is very user friendly and has great features including Chef Connect! It operates very quietly in low setting as well as the medium and high setting!

We love our GE vent hood; we like the look of it, and it's easy to operate. A minor inconvenience is that it doesn't have a night light, but that's probably because we chose a less expensive version. We were also extremely impressed with the 2 young men that were sent to install it.

We upgraded our range to black from bisque and wanted a matching hood - opted for above a standard hood and went with the JVX5300 - LOVE the halogen lighting! The features are nicer than the standard basic toggle switch with buttons - and love how the underside has stainless mesh panels that hide...

Had this installed today with horizontal duct to the outside. Looks great! Fan moves a LOT of air on max setting, which is loud, but that's expected. One low it still moves good air and is quieter. The included brackets meant to allow one to slide the hood onto a mount didn't work for our installer.

The suction is at one end, opposite from the large burner on the cook-top. Doesn't seem as powerful as the old hood (also GE), but doesn't drip grease onto the cook-top as the old one did.

Love this range hood. Is much cleaner than our previous unit. Only complaint is the manufacturing sequence of bending the sheet metal causes dimples at each end on the front. Other than that good quality.

Totally loving my new kitchen with all GE products and the hood is no exception. I feel like I’m in a high end restaurant kitchen. Lights are gorgeous and fan works great and doesn’t sound like a B52 taking off!

Multiple recurrent problems with the control panel, from day 1 of installation. "Fixes" from service tech but nothing that lasts longer than 2 months. Tech stated shoddy contact panel and had to repair with something more solid for touch panel to work.
