GE 4.6 cu.ft. Diamond Gray Top Load Washer - Energy Star

This new washer replaces a previous GE washer that we purchased from Abt about 7 years ago. It was used almost daily in those 7 years and served us well. We wanted to stick with a brand we trusted and chose this new model. It has a few more bells and whistles which we're really enjoying.

We never thought the viewing of clothes would be that big of a thing. But it has helped us understand how the machine is performing on different load combinations and it has helped us improved our selections of wash cycles. This has been a very nice machine to use and it is doing an excellent job.

So far so good. We really think this machine does a far better job of cleaning the clothes than our 8 year old whirlpool cabrio (pos) that used too little water with a impeller design. I like this top loader with a deep fill option and agitator. I feel it is quiet despite other reviews

One has to be careful to wash items of the same density and to balance when loading. The result is cleaner clothes and less wear on the drum. While my old washer would take anything, the results were not as great as this washer. Having the washer determine the water level allows me to save water.

This machine is great! It has a large barrel which fits lots of clothes. What I really like is that the control panel shows the length of time it will take to wag a particular load.

If you use good sheets on your bed and want to wash them this is not the washing machine for you. First time I washed them in this washer it went out of balance. It was a king fitted sheet, a flat sheet and 2 pillowcases. Nothing that this should not have been able to handle based on the cycles.

I love my machine. I do most of my washing in the evening. All that being said, my only issue with the machine is that the lettering indicating the selection of options does not have enough contrast to see in low light or without reading glasses. Other than that, I love my machine

I've only had the washer a month & wondered about the efficiency of this type machine & if I'd be able to understand the directions since I'd never had one with digital controls. I'm happy to say this washer exceeded all my expectations & is amazingly simple to operate. Highly recommend.

Looks great! Cleans thoroughly and handles a large load. We are replacing a machine with no agitator for this one. So far, much better results!

I love this washer it so easy to use. I have purchased other washers through the years, but this one is by far the best. I had read reviews after purchasing and was a little worried by what I had read. They were wrong the clothes aren't wrinkled like they said they dry wrinkled.
