The Fujifilm XF 27mm F2.8 is the most compact lens in the fledgling XF line-up and is therefore worthy of attention from anyone interested in using a small, discrete and lightweight camera system, especially when paired with the new X-M1 body.

So, okay, the Fujifilm XF 27mm lens focuses a bit slower than the others. It will still runs circles around a happy puppy. So, okay, it's "just" an f/2.8 lens. It lets in plenty of light for an everyday-carry lens. And it makes your camera light and non-imposing to your subjects.

This lens is really small, perfect for street photography and pretty much everything else. The focal distance feels natural and Im impressed by how sharp it is for the price... and its fast. Only caveats is the noise when focusing, but totally fine to me since I only shoot stills.

I purchased this pancake lens for my wife after she expressed interest in having a smaller lens for her Fuji X-T10, making the whole kit more compact and possible to fit in a small purse. She absolutely loves this lens for street photography and travel.

This lens is so light and so tiny - and this is the main characteristic of xf 27mm. It is pretty much feels like a lens cap. Because of that, this lens almost never leaves my camera, unless I need shallow depth of field or longer/wider field of view.

Maybe not the most versatile field of view, but versatile enough for me for street, especially with XF 18, XC 15-45 (seriously) or XF-18-55 as back up lens. Form factor and sharpness are fantastic. An essential lens for discreet street photography.
