The Fujifilm XF10 takes great photographs and looks great doing it, but has too many caveats for us to wholeheartedly recommend. Overall operation is sluggish and autofocus just isn't reliable, which is unforgivable at this point considering how capable smartphones have become.

The all-new Fujifilm XF10 is a pocket-sized 18mm f/2.8 fixed lens premium compact camera with a 24.2 Megapixel APS-C sensor that only weighs 280 grams. Perfect for street photographers, it looks surprisingly like the much-beloved (and now out-of-date) Ricoh GR 2.

The Fujifilm XF10 has plenty of limitations, but it’s a pocket-sized street and travel camera rather than an all-rounder. Its slim body and terrific image quality are what really count.

Not many cameras manage to squeeze an APS-C sensor inside a genuinely pocketable body, and the fact that the XF10 does so at this price only maximises its appeal. The AF system is a bit of a let-down, though, as is video quality in 4K.

The large lens and wide aperture have the potential to deliver delightful images, but the noisy and poor autofocus often makes it a struggle to get there.

The new Fujifilm XF10 is a largely successful attempt to woo both smartphone upgraders and serious enthusiasts, ultimately satisfying both camps thanks to the combination of excellent image quality and diminutive size.

The camera is nice but there are some big problems first the focus is slow and it makes a lot of noise when trying to get focus and sometimes it just can’t get focus and keeps going back and forth trying sadly it’s not for me so it’s going back
