The Fujifilm X-Pro2 puts an optical viewfinder in a slim mirrorless design, making it one of the most funâand capableâcameras on the market.

Quick focus and 8.2fps burst shooting. Large buffer. Unique hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder. Focus selection joystick. Film emulation modes. All-weather build. Dual SD slots. Wi-Fi.
-
-
Optical viewfinder not well-suited for telephoto lenses. Fixed LCD doesn't support touch input. Video limited to 1080p. Omits built-in flash. Expensive.
Fujifilm's X-Pro2, like its predecessor, occupies a unique position in the market. It's one of the few interchangeable-lens digital rangefinders available with the major competition coming from the Leica M.

Superb image quality – best in class for APSC OOC., Innovative hybrid viewfinder., Broad array of embedded PDAF points for good CAF., Weatherproof construction., Dual memory card slots and AF joystick., Built-in Wifi with good smartphone control.
-
-
Screen doesn’t articulate and isn’t touch-sensitive., Basic three frame AE bracketing., No 4k video and limited movie control., No USB charging in-camera., EV dial easily turned when removing from bag.
The X-Pro2 is a 24MP high-end X-mount camera whose appeal is inextricably linked to its innovative optical/electronic hybrid viewfinder. It offers excellent image quality and some of the best out-of-camera JPEGs on the market, and comes in a well built, elegant body with plenty of direct control.

Photographers looking for an involved, traditional shooting experience. Anyone who wants a camera with a little style and character.
-

Sports shooters, dedicated videographers or anyone expecting a DSLR-like shooting experience.
Just like the Fujifilm X-Pro1, which was introduced in 2012, the new Fujifilm X-Pro2 mirrorless camera is based on an APS-C sensor, but it uses a completely new version of the “X-Trans CMOS” sensor and now offers 24 megapixels instead of 16MP.

› High-resolution images with brand-new X-Trans CMOS sensor, › Fast AF system, › Unique hybrid viewfinder system, › Very nice color reproduction
-
-
› No swiveling LCD, › No built-in flash (though external flash units with TTL metering are available), › Disappointing dynamic range in video mode
The Fujifilm X-Pro2 has a look that will remind you of many other mirrorless Fujifilm cameras, as they offer a retro style with plenty of dials and buttons to control the camera's primary settings.

ISO performance is outstanding versus other mirrorless cameras, Hybrid viewfinder is a great feature and offers good versatility, Many upgrades over the X-Pro1, Good overall image quality in a variety of shooting conditions, Can shoot in both JPEG and RAW image formats, Six different function...

Camera's price is pretty high for a mirrorless model, No built-in flash unit, Battery life could be better, Camera will take some practice to learn to use all of the dials and buttons efficiently; no mode dial is used, EV dial hangs over back edge of camera, meaning you might bump it out of place...
I see a good number of professional photographers at a range of events and while a lot of them have Canon offerings there are also Olympus and Fujicameras. Here I get to try a recent mirrorless compact system camera that is very much in their professional range which really pushes my knowledge – or...
The Fuji X-Pro2 introduces a new 24 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor that shows exceptional image-quality. Sharpness, dynamic-range, metering and colors are all very good. Noise levels are extremely low until medium sensitivities where they still remain quite low.

Very low image noise up to ISO 3200, Excellent sharpness, Wide dynamic-range, Superb metering, Great color accuracy, Highly accurate AF, Excellent EVF mode, Plenty of direct controls, Excellent build quality

Below average AF speed in low-light, Color cast with AWB, Lens obstructs OVF, Not Exposure-Priority, Poor ISO dial design, Soft dial detents, Soft aperture detents With all current XF-mount lenses, Video recording delay, Very short battery-life
When it comes to ergonomics (ISO selector apart!), compactness, autofocus speed and accuracy, choice of lenses and overall image quality, the Fuji X-Pro2 proved to be outstanding. Just like with the original X-Pro1, I am sure Fuji will continue its Kaizen approach of continuous firmware development...
With higher shutter speeds of 1/8,000 or even 1/32,000 using the electronic viewfinder, higher ISO ranges, vastly improved autofocus, and enhanced weather sealing, theX-Pro2 has officially become a serious contenderfor professional photographers.
The FUJIFILM X-Pro2 features a new front command dial. It is used to set intermediate shutter speeds that are not available on the shutter speed dial when shooting in Manual or Shutter Speed Priority modes. It's also used to shift programmed exposure combinations when shooting in Program mode.
Before switching to X-Pro2 I had the X-T1, in 2014, but because the autofocus wasn't on par with DSLR I decided to go back to a Nikon D750 and stick with that, until I discovered the new X series based on the X pro processor and 24Mp X-Trans.
Super camera; perfect for distant location––––especially teamed with the 18mm f2 [when can we expect the full frame version?...]

Durable, Great Picture Quality, Lightweight
Best ooc images available. I do not waste time in post processing.Outstanding build quality.
I carry this with me and either a 14mm or a 16mm every single day.I bought FUJI starting in 2012 with the X100 because it was the first digital camera that I had come across which had ISO, Shutter Speed, F-Stop right where they were on my old Nikons.
Optimized for street photography, this combined with the 23 f2 produces razor sharp street images. Bravo
Great sensor, fast autofocus, and I love the rangefinder design. This was what I was hoping for.
