Fujifilm's X-Pro2, like its predecessor, occupies a unique position in the market. It's one of the few interchangeable-lens digital rangefinders available with the major competition coming from the Leica M.

+
Superb image quality – best in class for APSC OOC., Innovative hybrid viewfinder., Broad array of embedded PDAF points for good CAF., Weatherproof construction., Dual memory card slots and AF joystick., Built-in Wifi with good smartphone control.
-
-
Screen doesn’t articulate and isn’t touch-sensitive., Basic three frame AE bracketing., No 4k video and limited movie control., No USB charging in-camera., EV dial easily turned when removing from bag.
The Fujifilm X-Pro2 puts an optical viewfinder in a slim mirrorless design, making it one of the most fun—and capable—cameras on the market.
-
+
Quick focus and 8.2fps burst shooting. Large buffer. Unique hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder. Focus selection joystick. Film emulation modes. All-weather build. Dual SD slots. Wi-Fi.
-
-
Optical viewfinder not well-suited for telephoto lenses. Fixed LCD doesn't support touch input. Video limited to 1080p. Omits built-in flash. Expensive.
The X-Pro2 is not a perfect camera. There really is no perfect camera. But the X-Pro2 does come damn close to perfection. It’s not well suited to sports photography, but for portraits, street photography, and any other application calling for a small, unassuming camera, it excels.

+
A photographer's camera, and the most fully realized camera in Fuji's X series. Phase-detection autofocus system has improved speed and AF-point resolution. New 24-megapixel sensor is on par with many full-frame chips.
-
-
The weakest point is battery life. It sucks. Extra batteries are mandatory. The EVF is OK, but not not as vibrant as the XT-1.
The Fujifilm X-Pro2 has a look that will remind you of many other mirrorless Fujifilm cameras, as they offer a retro style with plenty of dials and buttons to control the camera's primary settings.

+
ISO performance is outstanding versus other mirrorless cameras, Hybrid viewfinder is a great feature and offers good versatility, Many upgrades over the X-Pro1, Good overall image quality in a variety of shooting conditions, Can shoot in both JPEG and RAW image formats, Six different function...

-
Camera's price is pretty high for a mirrorless model, No built-in flash unit, Battery life could be better, Camera will take some practice to learn to use all of the dials and buttons efficiently; no mode dial is used, EV dial hangs over back edge of camera, meaning you might bump it out of place...
The Fuji X-Pro2 offers excellent image quality across a wide range of ISO speeds, user-friendly and retro-inspired ergonomics, a new high-resolution 24-megapixel sensor and a vastly-improved hybrid autofocus system, among many other new features and improvements.
-
+
Weather-sealed, ergonomic camera body; Fast hybrid AF system; Excellent high ISO performance; Improved continuous shooting performance; Better video quality than previous Fuji cameras.
-
-
Some controls don't impress; Continuous autofocus still lags behind competing DSLR cameras; No 4K video; Fixed LCD without touchpanel., Mediocre battery life with LCD or EVF, Shutter pre-press penalty, Optical viewfinder has poor parallax correction, Auto and incandescent white balance struggle in...
The X-Pro2 is a 24MP high-end X-mount camera whose appeal is inextricably linked to its innovative optical/electronic hybrid viewfinder. It offers excellent image quality and some of the best out-of-camera JPEGs on the market, and comes in a well built, elegant body with plenty of direct control.
Just like the Fujifilm X-Pro1, which was introduced in 2012, the new Fujifilm X-Pro2 mirrorless camera is based on an APS-C sensor, but it uses a completely new version of the “X-Trans CMOS” sensor and now offers 24 megapixels instead of 16MP.
The Fuji X-Pro2 introduces a new 24 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor that shows exceptional image-quality. Sharpness, dynamic-range, metering and colors are all very good. Noise levels are extremely low until medium sensitivities where they still remain quite low.
-
+
Very low image noise up to ISO 3200, Excellent sharpness, Wide dynamic-range, Superb metering, Great color accuracy, Highly accurate AF, Excellent EVF mode, Plenty of direct controls, Excellent build quality
-
-
Below average AF speed in low-light, Color cast with AWB, Lens obstructs OVF, Not Exposure-Priority, Poor ISO dial design, Soft dial detents, Soft aperture detents With all current XF-mount lenses, Video recording delay, Very short battery-life
Fujifilm’s new X-Pro2 is a tough camera to review by any ordinary metric — it’s an exotic tool that defies rational purchasing decisions. There are cameras in its price range that will give you...

Incomparable viewfinder, Awesome focus joystick, Excellent image quality and performance

Fiddly ISO dial, Smaller EVF than X-T1, No tilt-screen
It’s been four long years since the original X-Pro1 was introduced, triggering a tsunami of rangefinder influence in the world of digital photography that’s eroded the core of the prosumer DSLR market ever since.
Love the hybrid viewfinder. The camera is a joy to use for street photography. I upgraded from an X100s for the higher Megapixels, wifi and ability to throw on a long lens when I want. Still I mostly shoot with the 23mm weather sealed lens which is the perfect combo.
First the unimportant: The camera is beautiful. Now the important stuff. In using this camera it seems like there was something in-between this an the Pro 1 that never came out. While I still love my Pro 1 this is physically similar but inside totally different; in a good way.
The improvements over the xPro1 are amazing. The dual card slots ,weather sealing, fast focusing just to name a few, will keep the pro photographer very happy.
If you have any doubts about this camera, don't !!! I can name many pro's but I will mention just three Awesome JPE's strait from camera, very good auto focus ( face detection is just awesome ), hybrid view finder is just to good.
The X-pro2 is a great camera with tons of settings, but if you just want to shot, just frame and push the button. Delivers great images in JPG with film simulations.
The xPro 2 is my new go-to camera for editorial and street photography. Build quality is excellent and the thumb control to move the focus point is much appreciated. Very responsive focusing & shutter release.
I am retired professional photographer. This is my second Fuji body purchase and I love them both. I wanted a smaller body but still with professional capabilities. The X Pro 2 delivers. The handling, feel, and build quality of the X Pro 2 is top notch. I love the optical viewfinder.
I think this may be the best camera I have ever used! I absolutely love this camera! I have always been a RAW shooter. The JPEGS that this camera produces has me thinking twice about that. I still shoot with a RAW backup but as long as I nail exposure in camera I use the JPEGS.
