The mirrorless Fujifilm X-A3 camera and the images it captures look great, but its autofocus system is way behind the competition.

Strong image quality. Stylish design. Compact. Selfie touch LCD. Film simulation modes. Wi-Fi.

Slow autofocus. Omits EVF. Inconsistent touch interface. Limited shooting buffer. No 30fps video option or mic input.
The Fujifilm X-A3 is an easy-to-use mirrorless ILC that has a lot of great features for beginning and intermediate photographers. Advanced shooters probably won't find enough to entice them here, but the A3's good image quality, tiltable touch screen LCD, and simple design is a great option for...

Can shoot in RAW or JPEG image formats (or both at same time), Good image quality in a variety of shooting situations, Large increase in resolution to 24.2MP versus what was found in previous model, Can use hot shoe to attach external flash or viewfinder (must be purchased separately), LCD screen is...

Autofocus system had some trouble locking on to the point we desired when shooting close up and indoors, No 4K video resolution available, 12 options on mode dial are probably too many; mode dial could be smaller, No viewfinder included, Very limited features in WiFi connectivity, RAW photos are...
Fujifilm's latest budget camera offers a new sensor and selfie features.

Solid image quality, Simple design, Excellent price point, Enhanced sensor over X-A2

No macro mode, Loud performance, No viewfinder, Cheaper build
Despite its impressive spec sheet, battery life and pleasant JPEG colors, the X-A3's sub-par AF system and overall sluggishness. For social shooters it's okay, but the bottom line is that better cameras in this price range exist.
The retro-styled Fujifilm X-A3 is the latest in the company’s X-A Series mirrorless cameras. The Fuji X-A3 is a more affordable option for those interested in a mirrorless interchangeable lens system camera that also includes some features found in the company’s premium product lines.
If you’re looking for an upgrade from your point and shoot, the Fujifilm X-A3 can offer you SLR grade image quality in a stylish and durable package that is much more affordable than most SLRs on the market. Some people may be concerned about the lack of accessories available for the platform.
This retro-styled, entry-level mirrorless interchangeable lens system camera with Instagram-style filters and a 'smile' shutter for selfies is aimed at 'phoneographers' after an upgrade, but it will be a learning curve for most.

Good image quality, Solid kit lens, Nice-looking design, Great screen

No 4K video, Plasticky finish in parts, Menu system could be better
Its millennial-orientated X-A3 uses the latest generation 24.2MP APS-C sensor and features a 180º tilting 3in touchscreen (using this activates the Eye Detection AF, making it perfect for selfies and vlogging, especially when using the Portrait Enhanced mode, allowing you to lighten skin tones), and...
There is a lot to like about the Fujifilm X-A3, and as usual for Fujifilm, we have been impressed by the image quality that it is capable of producing - perhaps even more impressive when you consider that the sensor is not the higher quality X-Trans as found on Fujifilm’s more expensive models.
If you're in the market for a point-and-shoot camera that uses interchangeable lenses, the X-A3 represents a good choice since it's a good performer in both stills capture and movie recording. The flip-up monitor works well for 'selfies' and the touch screen is easy to use.
This is a very nice camera with a new 24MP bayer sensor (looks like the latest Sony sensor). I had almost all Fuji cameras with both types of sensors, and this one produces the best image quality, no contest. I wish Fuji used bayer CFA in their more advanced models instead of x-trans.
Have you gone on a vacation where you’re anticipation of the end destination was temporarily sidetracked by some irritating issues that occurred during the travel portion of the trip? Well, so it is for me with regards to the new X-A3.
