Focal CMS 50 5" Active 2-Way Studio Monitor

I received these speakers yesterday. From the first moment, this little monster sounded like crazy. Highs were crispy, clear. Mids were strong. Bass's were tight. This speaker requires more than 10 hours for breaking-in. I played songs all through night, and it's getting better and better.

I use 5 of these in a surround setup as a sound designer for video games. The clarity in the small speakers beat out larger cone nearfields in a side by side that I did in my room. They start to lose integrity at loud volumes, but at normal working volumes, they are outstanding.

I use my Focal CMS 50 for Final Cut Pro. For this purposed they are fantastic monitor speakers. I use them in conjunction with my Audio-Technica ATH-M50 all my audio editing and mixing and overdubbing work. More then recommend them if your looking for very high quality monitor.

Although a bit large relative to your average desktop computer speakers, the CMS 50's provide a level of musicality 'designed for the computer' speakers can't deliver. I've only run them for 10 hours or so and they're still breaking in, but I'm absolutely stunned at the amount of realistic bass...

I purchased a pair of Focal CMS 50's and when they arrived, one had a defective base. I contacted Focal USA and they offered to sell (not replace) me another one. So whats the warranty for? I sent them back and bought a different brand.
