Epson's wide-format ET-16500 is a welcome new addition to the EcoTank line of inkjet printers. It's slow, but you'll be hard pressed to find a 13- by 19-inch printer with lower running costs.

Very low running costs after initial investment. Prints at up to supertabloid (13-by-19) size. Scans and copies multipage, two-sided originals up to 11 by 17 inches. Good text and photo print quality. Auto-duplexing ADF and scanner. Supports Wi-Fi Direct mobile connectivity.

High purchase price. ADF not single-pass. Slow for the price. No NFC support.
Based on the fact that I don’t print as frequently as someone with a home or small business, I would not have spent $999.99 on this printer. However, for someone who needs a printer with additional printing features above that of a personal printer and who has heavier printing needs, this may be a...

Expensive for a home printer, Ink refilling can be messy, Ink tanks could leak, Printer is very large for home personal use (51 pounds, 26.2" W x 32.2" D x 16.5" H), Color ink bleeds when wet, Black ink bleeds when using highlighters, Some photos appear washed out
EPSON calls this a Workforce printer, but it is truly a Workhorse printer. It will easily satisfy the complete document management needs of a small business, and is especially suited to graphic design or architectural firm.

First off, installation was SUPER easy and I am in no way technologically inclined. In fact, when I opened the box I was intimidated. Well I was wrong! The step by step instructions were incredibly easy to follow and I had her up and running in no time.
Reliable Epson is the best I can comment.
I was excited about the concept of an ink tank printer having bought my share of ink cartridges for a wide range of printers over the years. The tank system seems to be working well for the time I have owned the printer which is less than a month at the time of this review.
There are too many features to describe in a quick review of this printer, so I\u2019ll concentrate on my favorites. As versatile and powerful as this printer is, the feature that has really impressed me is the Ecotank.
This is a review for the Epson ET-16500 EcoTank that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
I love this printer! Its capable, economical, and a work horse. Moreover, the printing / scanning is impeccable.
This is a great printer for numerous reasons. For starters, it is easy to set up (although connecting to network was a bit problematic). The ink doesn't need to be replaced quickly but is a little more painful to load. The printing quality is absolutely fantastic.
I use this in a small office - a creative agency - and it gets a lot of work for comps, presentations, scans, everything. The wireless functionality is incredible. The printer has power and the ink wells are a huge improvement from the Epsons I've used in the past.
