  No ADF. Lacks NFC support. Slow document printing. Text quality is unremarkable. Somewhat high cost per page.

But if you don't need to print more than 200 or 300 pages per month, the XP-640 stands well above cheap (under $75) all-in-ones that lack features such as friendly control panels or SD card slots or duplex printing. It deserves its modest allotment of desk space.

The $79 Epson Expression XP-640 offers a healthy variety of features and solid performance for a very compelling price. It's a real speed demon at nearly every task, and it produces high-quality prints — at least when it comes to photos and graphics.

This is a review for the Epson Expression XP-640 that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.I do love the print quality Photos and cards come out clear and high quality printing and the duplex printing is used a lot. This is my experience with the device, setup and usage.

Here's the deal. If you have a Chromebook or similar that requires Google cloud printing, this doesn't work with it. The quality and value are excellent but nowhere does it tell you that it won't work with a growing number of computers or laptops. I wasted a ton of time until I figured this out.

After going thru 3 competitive printers, I purchased my first Epson many years ago. I loved it, but alas it expired. So I bought this new XP-640. It was extremely easy to set up including the WiFi. If it lasts as long as my previous one, I'll be a very happy customer.

I recently bought Epson XP- 640 printer and I was very pleased with how easy it was to set up and also the photo print quality was very good for your everyday printing to high quality photo prints.

Compact size, easy to set up. Good quality printing of both photos and text.

This printer was easy to set up and the prints are good quality. It's a good size and the wireless link means that you can 'hide it in a cupboard' and print from there

Really happy with this buy. Easy to set up (as previous printer was also Epsom) & does everything needed really well. Only downside is how expensive the inks are, but you get a new set with the printer.

A good printer and what should be an easy set up seriously let down by flaws in the documentation sent with the unit to help you set it up.. tried to purchase ink from Epson and it is whether you have a 2016 or 2017 printer made in either of those years whether you get ink cartridges to work.spent...
