Great product pown 4 not a hip hop sub. Country and rock they hit hard. Never had them heat up or shut down. Rarely clip. Hit as hard as QSC own those also. Like i said not made to hit below 32 hz like rap music that is why dj s dont like them these are made for rock, country and Blues.
I've lived in a fraternity for 2 years and have absolutely pounded these speakers. The bass quality is still incredible and the subwoofer is still going strong. Highly recommend if you are a DJ or have large house parties/fraternity parties.
I really like these little speakers! I bought the Elx 112 and paired them with a pair of the Yorkville Ls700p and really liked the ELX 112. I was very skeptical about the ELX 118 because of some bad reviews and the weight and size. But I really needed a small system for some of the smaller venues.
I have always been a fan of EV and still am! I run live sound for local bands and do mobile DJing. I own a pair of these subs and they are great for the price. Sound quality is okay, and the SPL is no where near the rated specs but who's are nowadays...
Fantastic sub. I’ve used mine for years and it’s been great. Hope to add a second before too long.
My fiance is a DJ and he said it plays very well sounds very good
My friend bought two of these and has had chronic issues. The woofers keep blowing. And for this price range you can find better. I took them apart to fix the blown woofer and the construction quality is embarrassing. The cabinet is thin cheap wood and poorly constructed.
So far I'm happy with my choice and I'm thinking of purchasing the ETX-18sp
Good product and was happy with it.
Every venue we have played so far one sub has more bass than we have needed, amazing!have not tried outside yet.
