Best monitor I've ever owned. I bought two in Japan the day it was released. I can't praise these monitors enough. Changed my life. Such a large surface. It's a dream to use.
I am in charge of rolling out Hardware at work (Software company), and we found these to be THE BEST monitor, PERIOD for developers and designers. Nothing else comes close. It gives you so much control and real estate to place your code on one side, and the executable in another windows on the side,...
I have three of them side by side and it's a glorious amount of screen real estate. Back in the old days monitors were nearly square because they were CRT based, 4:3 was the most common.
This things amazing... totally worth getting if you write code or design anything.
Life-changing monitor! The only suitably sized and priced square monitor I could find. I know: a lot of people can't imagine why life would be better with a square. But once you get used to this screen, going back to a typical 16:9 one makes you feel like you're imprisoned in this horrible short box...
If you're reading this you probably already are drawn to the idea of a 1:1 display. As a software developer, the height:desk space ratio has been excellent for programming, communication, browsing, and some CAD.
Wow I am so glad I stumbled on this monitor - it's unbelievably great! I've been using dual 24" 1920x1200 Dell monitors and have always been frustrated by the lack of vertical real estate, especially when I am programming and working on large spreadsheets.
Almost all monitors these days are in landscape orientation, which is good for watching movies and playing games. Given that the modern web site design is vertical, and that I spend most of my computer time consuming and creating documents, not watching movies nor playing games, this monitor offers...
