As with the other LTD B series basses from ESP, the B-4E has beveled edges which allow you to see the contrast of light and dark between the mahogany body and ebony top. Adding to this contrast of woods is the even lighter 5-piece neck-thru-body maple/mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. But looks aren't everything. If you're going to lay out your hard earned cash, you want to get some good bang for your buck. Ensuring you get the most of the tones these blends of woods provide are ESP SB-4 pickups (bridge & neck) with an ESP ABQ-3 3-band active EQ. Use the knobs to adjust for more brightness on pop tunes or gain more kick on the low-end when you're getting down and dirty for a more rocking tune.The neck is 34" scale, with an extra thin "U" contour, a 42mm standard nut, 24 XJ frets. ESP tuners, an ESP BB-604 bridge with string-thru-body, and black nickel hardware.
