Dyson's v6 Motorhead competes well enough as a high-end stick vac, but poor battery life and a tendency to clog with large particles hold the v6 Motorhead back from replacing your full-size upright.

  The Dyson v6 Motorhead stick vacuum cleaner performed extremely well on both pet hair and fine particles. The design makes it portable, maneuverable, and generally easy to use.

  The Motorhead is a marginal upgrade at best over its predecessor, the v6, and it performed worse with big particles. The motor in the brush roll results in relatively poor battery life. It still doesn't outperform the other sticks enough to justify its luxury price.

It’s hard not to fall in the love with the stalwart Dyson DC59 Animal. It feels good in the hand, it’s lightweight, and it’s easy to maneuver. And I even like the look of it. Perhaps its most impressive quality, however, is its power to clean.

In some ways Dyson are the Apple of the vacuum world. They create innovative, exciting products designed to capture your imagination. The DC59 does not disappoint - it is versatile, light weight, portable and able to operate as an upright or handheld.

While other brands claim that their products had corded power this is probably the closest one based on both written and video reviews I’ve found online. That though has one caveat – it will last only 26 minutes (less if you extensively use the floor tool) and 6 minutes on boost.

Great for everyday use. Small container means you are emptying it constantly but this is very easy to do. The only issue I have is that the battery runs down quite quickly, around 20 mins or so then takes 3.5 hours to fully recharge.

I'll preface by saying I rarely if ever rate anything a 100% perfect, the V6 animal comes very close. If you keep in mind this a cordless hand/stick unit, it does its intended job very well and it blows the competition away.

I am happy with my purchase although I typically wouldn't buy a vacuum cleaner. Love the cordless, I wish the battery lasted longer.

Good product with strong suction but the battery length could be improved. I usually need to charge a few times to get all the bits and pieces vacuumed around the house.

Very good performance for the price (I got it when it was on offer). Does a great job, so easy to use. Obviously a longer battery life would be better but it generally lasts long enough for what I need.

Another great Dyson product. Will probably only get out my 17 year old Dyson to do the bigger jobs.
