I've carried an F3x since the early 80s, so you know I have to like it, but it has problems with newer gear. An example, the side pockets are not deep enough for my flash (580ex) so it has to go in the main pouch, and then the bag is too smallTake the bag, make it 1-2 inches deeper, but otherwise...

It works. Light, not bulky, probably the best for film gear out there

  • -

It's not sized around today's gear

New olive f-3x and my old f-3x have quite a few differences:- new bag is 1-2" larger in both length and width- new bag has a significantly thicker bottom pad- strap rings are a different design (still plastic though)- canvas on new bag seems thicker and rougherThis all leads up to the new bag...

I was trying to remember how long I've had my Domke F3X, but couldn't recall exactly when I got it. It has to have been 25-30 years ago. During that time, it's been my main walk-about bag and is still going strong today. In fact, I took it on a video shoot just yesterday.

Another great Domke product. Easy to access equipment and roomier than would think. Keeps things simple.

I just received my Domke F-3X and I absolutely love it! Ive searched high and low for a simple no frills bag with ample storage and I think this may be the one. Im a one body/lens setup shooter.

the bag easily fits a 40d witha large zoom lens the lens seprators can hold a EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM lens snugly. the bag can just just hold more gear then you can imagine a bag this size holding. the flaps are awkward for completely covering the side pockets.

I recently exchanged a backpack camera bag for this shoulder model. I had used an old purse before this. Excellent construction and material. If I had one suggestion, I would raise the hook ring higher up the side so one does not have to "roll over" the bag to lock and unlock the flap.

I am amazed at how much gear I can carry in this bag. the layout and number of pockets suit me perfectly. I also have the bigger Domke F2, but this one usually is plenty. Be aware there is no padding, so if you slam your bag around this might not be the one for you.

I've always loved Domke bags - smartly designed by and for working photographers. They are durable, weather resistant, and set up for an easy carry. This F-3X is a nice size for quick access to a basic set of gear, and it does not draw attention to itself. Very nice.

I use it for street photography in Mexico City. The bag is not flashy and provides easy access to my D200 and two other lenses with space to spare for my BlackBerry, iPod Touch, Canon G9, Rocket Blower, and an SB600 speed flash.

I have a Domke F1 bag that's about 40 years old, still going strong despite being a bit battered and tattered. Bought this F3X for a two-week trip to Europe and it did not disappoint!
