It records and plays back fabulously, you're kidding yourself if you think you're not going to need to print and read the full manual, but as far as quality it's spot on. Still some things that I wish it would do that it doesn't, but it's firmware upgradable, so you never know what may be added.

So far it works great. The only issue I've had is having to cycle the power for it to rediscover my network or phone connection. It works with my IPhone 7+. Make sure to get thumb drives smaller than 32gigs and format in Fat32, NTFS thumb drives will not work.

I really like this unit (although I prefer the simpler, no network - but sadly, discontinued - DN-500R - or, better still, the DN-300R with the addition of a Rec/Pause button).

We record all our shows and are building up an archive for live albums so we wanted the best sound quality. We were told to check out dn-700r for recording to USB or sound card and being flexibile in different venue setups.

We archive everything we record automaticly via ftp with this device. We no longer need to buy CD/DVD and to share them, everything is now done on the network.

This audio player is crucial in my rack. We've got a growing team, and depending on who's running the night different people have their own preferences for devices to keep the music going. Denon's the best for this and the 700C gets two thumbs up from us.

I wrote several manufacturers requesting the development of a device like this between 2010 and 2013 and in 2014 Denon gave me what I wanted!! This device is perfect for my needs at a university school of music.

Overall the functionality and price of this unit is excellent, however I discovered a problem for my particular usage doing archival transfers of digital material. It may be possible to fix it with a firmware update, Denon support has been less than responsive.

I really wanted to like the DN700C. It has a nice solid build and decent features, but this device is not ready for prime time. Its network access speeds are painfully slow, and it absolutely refused to communicate with a DLNA qualified NAS, no matter what file sharing protocol was enabled on the...

As a broadcast studio user of numerous Denon CD decks from DN615, 630, 635, 640... I just don't get how Denon can repeatedly come up with great basic designs but let them down totally by blind spots that are a nightmare for professional users.
