The Dell UltraSharp U2913WM is s unique 29-inch ultra-widescreen monitor offering a 21:9 aspect ratio and solid IPS color and grayscale quality but it may not be the best choice for gamers.

Great color quality.Very good grayscale performance. Generous port selection.

Vertical viewing angle could be better. No speakers. Mediocre motion handling.
The Dell UltraSharp U2913WM is an attractive 29-inch monitor with an ultra-wide screen. This panoramic display boasts a 2,560-by-1,080 resolution and a unique 21:9 aspect ratio (as opposed to the popular 16:9 aspect ratio), and it is loaded with ports.
While most widescreen monitors follow the standard 16:9 aspect ratio, the Dell UltraSharp U2913WM dares to be different – it’s the first PC monitor we’ve seen in the unusual 21:9 format. The monitor uses an IPS panel with a matte anti-glare coating, and cuts an imposing figure on a desk.
The number of 21:9 monitors is increasing. After the LG 29EA93 and today's Dell UltraSharp U2913WM, also AOC, NEC and Philips have their own models. And a number of other brands have announced they are entering this segment at as well.
I've had good luck with Dell Ultrasharp displays in the past and I have confidence that the replacement will give me the long life I'm used to from my previous Ultrasharp monitors.

The widescreen resolution is pretty nice, colors are accurate and it has just about every connection type you can think of including a 4 port USB 3 hub.

After having it for a while a vertical row of green pixels bite the dust. It also started randomly getting stuck on so you had to hold the "button" for 5-10 seconds for it to power off. Sometimes it would also go dead and just show a black or white screen while being stuck on.
My friend gave me one of these monitors when they came out. I liked it so much I went and got another one, and an Ergotron mount to hold them nicely. This monitor has the best picture you can get without the glare. Every port you can conceive of is on this thing.
This is a GREAT Monitor. The resolution is nice and sharp and the color is near perfect, which was most important for me as a graphic artist, with sRGB and Adobe RGB ratings in the high 90s.
