A very straightforward connection via HDM1 cables to my graphics card with a simple setup. Interesting the monitor included a calibration chart, not always seen with 4K monitors. One bit of warningdo not install the software drivers.
According to Dell's official website, P2415Q and P2715Q monitors purchased after Feb 2016 have HDMI 2.0 with 4K@60fps support! You just need to enable it manually since it's not enabled by default from the factory. 1. Unplug all video cables from the display.
I have 2 of these at work to use with my MacBook Pro w/Retina display. They are so good that I had to get one for my home office as well. These were the best I have tried to get Retina-quality image on an external monitor connected to a MBP. Way cheaper than buying an Apple monitor.
This past black friday, I decided to pull the trigger and upgrade my duel monitors from 1080p (2K) to 4K. Since I've been using Dell Ultrasharps for years, I decided to just stay with the same series, which is how I wound up with this model.
Didn't work well with either a powerful dell laptop or MacBook pro. flicker issues even on the dell, and made the mac really hot (plus not actually supported for the mac)
Not a bad monitor, the picture quality is good but the anti glare coating is a little thick for me.
My main use for it is photography editing. I haven't seen anything better at its price point. I had purchased one before which ran fine for 2 years and then started to flicker out until it was unusable and past warranty.
There are grey horizontal lines on various areas of the monitor as my head changes its position. Super annoying and hard to unsee when you have seen them. I had someone else in my household use the monitor just to make sure I wasn't being too picky.
Edit: I've contacted Dell support and they replaced the monitor for me! The device itself is very good, so I'll restore my rating of the monitor to five stars. The monitor itself is very good: picture quality is exceptional, pixel density is good enough, it's inexpensive and works well my both my...
I purchased this display to use with my 15" MacBook Pro. Text and graphics look sharp in default mode, certainly on par with Apple's laptop retina displays. I've been very happy with the performance overall, but after about two years the display started to develop fairly noticeable brightness...
