A very straightforward connection via HDM1 cables to my graphics card with a simple setup. Interesting the monitor included a calibration chart, not always seen with 4K monitors. One bit of warningdo not install the software drivers.
According to Dell's official website, P2415Q and P2715Q monitors purchased after Feb 2016 have HDMI 2.0 with 4K@60fps support! You just need to enable it manually since it's not enabled by default from the factory. 1. Unplug all video cables from the display.
I have 2 of these at work to use with my MacBook Pro w/Retina display. They are so good that I had to get one for my home office as well. These were the best I have tried to get Retina-quality image on an external monitor connected to a MBP. Way cheaper than buying an Apple monitor.
I purchased this display to use with my 15" MacBook Pro. Text and graphics look sharp in default mode, certainly on par with Apple's laptop retina displays. I've been very happy with the performance overall, but after about two years the display started to develop fairly noticeable brightness...
great for my macbookpro 2018 13 inch. remember to buy a proper typec to dp adapter. e.g. Plugable USB C to DisplayPort Adapter
I wanted a monitor that could easily switch between my Dell that I must use for some programs at work and my primary computer Macbook Pro (I didn't want to reboot in Bootcamp). With multi-device keyboard and trackball from Logitech I can switch easily.
Worked great with my 2015 Macbook Pro, but about 1/4th of the screen has a weird flicker issue when plugged into my 2018 Macbook Pro. I'm tried with both DisplayPort and Mini DP. HDMI caused the entire computer to slow.
Cheap: This is the best way to upgrade to 4k @ 60Hz if you don't want to spend a lot. Simple: Doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. Doesn't have internal speakers so you'll need to buy that separate, or play from the laptop (or headphones).
I purchased my first one of these monitors in April 2017 and it was amazing. I wanted to expand my setup to a dual display and ordered a second one. The new monitor the color match was way off, even after doing a factory reset on both the new and the old.
Clear picture and large display. The connection ports are not in an easily accessible position and they could have done better with their location. You need to bend low or flip the monitor 90 degrees t a horizontal position to reach them.
