A very straightforward connection via HDM1 cables to my graphics card with a simple setup. Interesting the monitor included a calibration chart, not always seen with 4K monitors. One bit of warningdo not install the software drivers.
Affordable 4k, but ghosts really hard. Even when set to the "fast" speed, scrolling slowly on a webpage causes very visible large streaks. Great for stationary work and if you're not too picky about ghosting.
I have 2 of these at work to use with my MacBook Pro w/Retina display. They are so good that I had to get one for my home office as well. These were the best I have tried to get Retina-quality image on an external monitor connected to a MBP. Way cheaper than buying an Apple monitor.
Positive: Extremely high resolution, sharpness, & image clarityNegative: Resolution is too high for the size - all icons, start menu, etc are too small to see. The most serious issue is the connection issue. This was the deal-breaker for the customer.
I bought this for my new Mac Pro and couldn't be happier. It was easy to assemble and was literally plug and play. Start-up is smooth and fast, colors are clear and bright, and text crisp and easy to use.
The good:Compact size, 4K!!, Good valueThe bad:Faint horizontal lines, possible moire effect between front coating and LCD grid. Not as visible if view from 18+ inch away.Bottom line:I am using it for general office work, very adequate.
The UHD display is crisp and sharp with minimal back bleeding. The 99% sRGB coverage is okay, though there are other similarly priced monitors out there with better color accuracy. This monitor is not for gaming.
I don't write many reviews. This product exceeded my expectations. The color and clarity are mind blowing. Definitely worth the money. It doesn't feel much smaller than my old 26 inch LCD due to the aspect ratio. Awesome monitor!
Great 4k montior, but something to be aware of is that it if you're using an HDMI connection, it might not necessarily be set to run 60fps by default. I had to enable mine and do some googling to figure out how to do so.
This things's a beaut—but I'm mostly chiming in here for the sake of Macbook Pro owners (late 2016 or later). At first I couldn't get this to work with my MBP (late 2016, High Sierra) with a USB-C to DP cable. Also no luck with the included MiniDP to DP cable on a Macbook Air (2015, Yosemite).
