Dell 15.6" Alienware 15 R3 Notebook

overkill for its price range

  After many weeks of research I made a decision to finally settle down with a beautiful alienware laptop that I'd need for school as well as gaming. let me tell you this, this thing is an absolute beast of a machine and is complete overkill.

  The only downside I can find is that the laptop gets smudges very easily because of its sleek black design, but it can easily look factory new with nothing but a cloth.

  The motherboard couldn't communicate with the gpu.

I have had this laptop for 3 days, and 2 hours after unpacking nothing would load and had to restart, and then a few hours after restart it just shutdown and restarted while in the middle of playing ARK, then the next day first thing in the morning it did it again.

  crashed out 2 times in 1 day, restarted on me 2 times in 2 days for no reason while in the middle of gaming and 1 time this morning when no one was around it, graphics aren't that great compared to my desktop with a lesser graphics card(not the graphics card problem in this case but the screens...

For the money its a great deal. Nice gaming computer out of the box, with the potential for greatness for those of us that cant afford a high end computer.

  Setup is very easy, no bloatware, very fast, overclocking is a breeze. Case is huge, almost 60lbs, but is stylish and fun to adjust the lighting. Shipping and packaging was top notch.

  6 gigs of ram is lacking, will be upgrading tomorrow, my lap top has 8, get with it Dell. Dual video cards are adequate but nothing spectaculer, will upgrade them somewhere down the road, they do the job well enough for now.
