Definitive technology ProCenter 1000 Center Channel Speaker (Black)

I bought this Definitive Technology ProCenter 1000 to replace an older Polk TL3 center channel speaker that I felt wasn't giving me dialog that was as clear as I wanted it to be. I needed a compact center channel speaker with a low profile similar to the Polk that wasn't too expensive.

I use it for movies both televised and Blu-ray. I love the appearance of the speaker ( very modern looking ). There is nothing bad I can say about this speaker

I am not a fan of any single speaker type or company. I typically will read the reviews and pick out something that meets my budget but sounds a good quality. And, I am not the person to ask if you're interested in the most expensive or the highest and speaker. I like my music. I like good sound.

This is a great center channel speaker for the price. It replaced an old, much more expensive Infinity center channel. This ProCenter 1000 is much better for dialogue. I used to struggle to hear voices when they spoke softly, but now I can hear everything.

Replaced JBL center channel which was starting to get muddy. TV and 4k Blu-ray dialog is crisp and clear as it could be in my 5.1 Marantz system. Spending more would have been a waste of money for even my critical ear.

I bought this compact center channel speaker to replace another compact center that was not providing clear dialog in mycurrent surround sound setup. The improvement was dramatic. I can now hear dialog clearly and the soundstage for music has been greatly improved.

This center speaker is amazing and is a big part to the system that was put together for me here at ABT.

Incredible value. Moved into a larger house and my previously purchased Energy center just couldn’t fill the room. We were having a hard time understanding dialog all of a sudden (I thought I was just getting older), using subtitles became normal. Same receiver, but replaced the center.

Good sound for a smaller speakers. I installed this center and 4 1000 speakers.
