The MX Silent switches in this Cherry-branded, retro-styled keyboard are much quieter than others we've tried, but its oversize plastic frame and meager feature set make the asking price much too high.
-
+
Handsome appearance., Muted "MX Silent" mechanical switches are quieter.
-
-
Pricey for the feature set., No media keys, macro keys, audio jacks, or USB passthrough., No configuration software., Thin, rubber-coated USB cord.
Corsair did well with the Strafe. The base is solid, and its general design looks pretty good for a gaming keyboard. The number of features Corsair managed to squeeze into the Strafe while keeping its retail price at US$109 is better than what most other companies manage.
-
+
Price for the features on offer, Build quality, Bundle, Light show capability, Driver performance, Cherry MX key selection, USB plug
-
-
Still a bit costly, Light show feature not for all, A bit on the noisy side!
While it could use a few more bells and whistles, the Strafe is an impressive mechanical keyboard with excellent in-game performance.
-
+
Authentic Cherry MX keys, Comfortable textured keycaps, Not as expensive as RGB keyboards
-
-
Complicated software, No stand-alone media control keys, Limited red backlighting
Corsair's latest gaming keyboard is the Strafe. It's based on Cherry MX Red mechanical switches and includes per key lighting effects. Come take a look.
So that brings us to the typing experience which is the Strafe’s high point. On the basic level, all the key options are just a button press away (media, lighting, Win lock) and the board is compact without any complication from spurious extra or misplaced buttons.
I recommend this product not only because it's corsair. Its a very sturdy and reliable keyboard. It does not just appeal to gamers. This was a upgrade from my cheap

I have many Pro's but I'll list a few here. 1) Its corsair. I have a Corsair theme going on with my rig. This keyboard, being only Red LED's, matches my rig color scheme very well.
-
-
Its loud with every keystroke but it's just a matter of getting used to it.
Overall a very solid keyboard. The keyboard itself is worth 5 stars. Since the software is integral to the lighting effects though I will give it a 4.
-
+
This keyboard feels extremely smooth. For having the Cherry MX Red switches, it is not loud at all for a mechanical keyboard. This is honestly my first full time mechanical keyboard.
-
-
The software isn't the most intuitive to get the lighting to where you want it.
Please do research on MX keys before purchasing! I'm personally a fan of the Cherry MX Red but you may prefer a different MX key

- Simple setup - Corsair Utility Engine is extremely user friendly for customization - Light resistance so the tactile response feels natural - Comes with a 'windows key lock' button that prevents windows key from minimizing games - Detachable palm guard
-
-
- No cons
Overall this keyboard is amazing. Corsair pushes out excellent products and you can expect a lot from this keyboard if you are choosing to purchase it.
-
+
-The Cherry MX Blue switches are nice to type with, the click is music to my ears -Overall construction of the keyboard is solid. It's not flimsy at all
-
-
- All red backlighting, would have loved to see a white backlighting with this keyboard - Media keys binded to the F9-F12 keys
All in all solid 4/5 eggs for the time being. I replaced a k70 with this and im happy with it. it looks a lot better and i love the rbg colors you can set up with this keyboard.
-
+
The lighting is beautiful, feels like sturdy construction, key texture is great.
-
-
The software is a little counter intuitive but all in all not that bad. if you don't leave the software up in the background it will go back to default colors. Cable isn't braided.
