But having come in cold and spending only a couple of hours making prints, the PRO-2000 delivered a smooth and easy operating experience and excellent quality photo prints. Fine art photographers, especially those working with high-res cameras; pros wanting full control over their portrait and...
Replaced my ipf6100 with this beast and am glad I did.Took a bit longer to get set up than I had thought it would, but wasn't bad for a 1 time thing.I've printed about 30 posters so far. 12x18, 18x24, 24x36All looked excellent.Loading/feeding a roll of paper is much easier that on the 6100.
I have both the Prograf 1000 and 2000. The Prograf 2000 does a terrible job with cut sheets. You can't print on the trailing edge. No borderless printing! There's no side or front stops when you're loading paper so you have to manually eyeball the paper and move it around to line it up.
Ordered printer on Sunday afternoon, got it Thursday morning. Set up was very easy and first prints looked great. I replaced a Canon 6100 printer with the Pro 2000 and glad I stayed with Canon. It's bigger than the 6100 but seems to be built better. So far ink usage with set up inks has been good.
This printer is unreal. The prints are gorgeous and consistent. The interface is easy to use. The management tools made setting up a system (although time-consuming initially) effortless. I really could go on about how satisfiedI am with it.
Just got mine up and running (opted for the additional roll function) and it is a dream. A bit of an investment, but definitely worth it. Looking forward to playing with all the bells and whistles featured on this printer :)
The sales rep walked me through a very big purchase, I felt reassured and now that I have the new printer, I'm thrilled.
Set up easily. The 5 test prints you do for printer head alignment show some not to scale or incorrect shots of what to load. You load normal 8.5 x 11 paper (included with the printer) in portrait mode.
I'm really surprise with this printer. Amazing!
love it was wondering how to print 8/10 photos on it but as far as anything else hands down the best printer i ever purchased...
The printer arrived in a truck on a pellet. The driver had a rolling "forklift" to move it into my garage where he left it. Luckily I was able to hire two movers to bring into the house and they helped me set it up. Set up was a bit of a challenge - some of the instructions were less than clear.
