Overall, we really liked the R700. As you may have surmised, its performance doesn’t particularly stand out from the others we tested, but it offers the right level of performance at the right price for many people.

I teach Introductory Broadcasting and Film to 8th grade students and find these cameras are user-friendly and compatible with our editing software. The students like the versatility of the camera and it's a great place for them to begin using cameras in a professional way.

I've had previous models that I lost to divorce. Purchased this for simple video of my kids and their sporting events.For a HD camera, the video is mediocre at best? Don't get it. Then the autofocus of this recorder is TERRIBLE.

After getting over a half a hear to try out my camera equipment, over all, I find the product fantastic. The camera is has great quality for it's price and has come in more handy than I initially expected it to.

The camcorder is a good buy for the money but is a little difficult to use, take a lot of searching in the instructions which you must get off line, takes a lot of printing out the get all you really need. The picture quality is good but is a little complicated for and entry level camera.

This camera is perfect for my son who loves filming! It has great quality pics and videos and spectacular zoom!
