For this lens, I can simply duplicate the TS-E 90 f/2.8L's summary. If this lens and its special features are what you need (or you can make it work for your needs), it is a stellar performer in a well-built package.

Canon has clearly defined for themselves a niche area that merits a whole set of impressive tilt and shift lenses for their full frame cameras, offering focal lengths of 17mm , 24mm , 45mm , 50mm , 90mm and 135mm. We have here the 135mm, reviewed using the 50mp Canon EOS 5DS R camera body.

Tilt-shift lenses are specialist pieces of kit, and at this focal length, become even more specialist. Of the three lenses which were launched at the same time (the other two being a 50mm and 90mm), the 135mm is arguably the least versatile.

I was so glad when this lens came out. Ive been using a 45mm & 90mm ts-e for years. This L lens is a much better focal legnth for my product work. As today this lens allowed me to shift the plane of focus where I could shoot only 1 image or 2 to focus stack instead of 2-4 images per shot.
