The Canon EOS 650D combines very good image quality with easy access to shooting parameters and extensive manual control. Its touchscreen interface brings a new level of operational efficiency to the DSLR market. Added to this is a fast 5 fps shooting rate and quick phase-detection AF.

  • +

Comprehensive touchscreen interface that is intuitive and efficient, High image quality with good balance between detail and noise reduction in JPEG output, Good subject tracking AF in viewfinder shooting mode (compared to mirrorless competition), 5 fps with ample buffering in JPEG-only mode, Very...

  • -

Slow 'hybrid AF' performance in live view and video modes (compared to mirrorless competition), Slightly higher noise levels than its peers, Default dynamic range lags a bit behind its peers, Using flash with Auto ISO enabled results in ISO 400 even in bright light conditions, Cannot configure...

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i is a fast, high-performing digital SLR, but it isn't as good as its predecessor, the Editors' Choice-winning T2i, which, thankfully, is still available.

  • +

    Quick. Good picture quality.

  • -

Extremely slow Live View mode. Not as fast as the T2i, images aren't as sharp.

The Canon T3i offers a 3.0-inch articulating LCD, good 1080 HD video recording and all of the excellent image quality we saw in the very similar EOS 60D.

  • +

Articulating monitor, Good video quality, Excellent images

  • -

Slow AF in video/Live View, Low battery life in Live View, No video continuous AF

22 March 2011

For the money, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i is a great choice for dSLR videographers--though the cheaper T2i can still suffice if you don't need the articulated LCD--and it's a solid choice for creative still shooters.

  • +

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i delivers excellent video capabilities and image and video quality.

  • -

If you shoot both still and video, the T3i's controls can be frustrating to operate, and it's not terribly fast for burst shooting sports, kids, or pets.

17 March 2011

We have no problem whatsoever recommending the Canon Rebel T3i. It’s not as robust as the Nikon D7000, but then again it’s $400 less if you opt for similar 18-135mm kit lenses. The Nikon is really geared for the adventurous shutterbug who really wants to dig deeply into the camera’s capabilities.

  • +

Fine 18-megapixel images, Excellent 3-inch vari-angle LCD, Full HD video at 30 fps, 3.7 fps at full resolution

  • -

Tends to run warm indoors, Video is good but focusing is cumbersome, No burst mode in A+ auto

The Canon EOS 600D is an excellent reflex. It can generate good-quality images from high definition, with accurate colors and realistic, and without suffering much of problems related to digital noise.

  • +

    Ductility, Image quality, Swiveling display.

The Canon EOS 600D is destined to be a major success. Despite being laden with the kind of features you’d expect to find on an enthusiast-level DSLR, it retains its compact size and ease of use and manages to deliver a very high success rate in terms of well-exposed, sharp results.

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i , also known as the Canon EOS 600D, is an entry-level digital SLR that’s definitely worth a look. The camera is an evolutionary step up from the Rebel T2i (EOS 550D) but introduces a handful of appreciated features such as the rotating 3 inch display, wireless flash control...

  • +

Very good image quality with good lenses and very little noise, Compact in size for a digital SLR, Big and flexible rotating 3 inch display with very high resolution, Excellent performance (except live view and burst duration), Full manual controls, customizable My Menu and RAW image support, Useful...

  • -

Bundled kit lenses make images slightly soft, Below average battery life; decrease from predecessor, Small continuous shooting buffer for RAW images and sluggish live view autofocus, Large movie file sizes with existing codec/format and no movie continuous autofocus

Ahead of the CP+ camera show in Japan the week of Feb. 7, 2011, Canon announced two new DSLRs and two new Speedlites. The Canon EOS Digital Rebel T3i is pretty much the basics of the T2i (same 18MP CMOS sensor, AF and metering system) but with the tilt and swivel LCD screen of the EOS 60D added,...

I've have used this camera for 2 weeks and have taken some very nice photos. I bought the 300mm zoom lens for landscape and nature photography and I love it! I chose Canon because of the exceptional quality I have experienced in the other products we own.

I have been using the canon t3i as a vlogging camera for everyday use and does the job perfectly and allows me to record in a moments notice and allows beautiful color correction only downside is the stability it is the most sensitive camera out there but nothing a few editing tricks can’t fix...

I have it for some time now and have to say that it's perfect. The focus the shooting range and all is just perfect. I use the 18-55 IS II Kit and for landscape it's just again perfect.

Bought this to replace my aging 1ds to have a smaller much lighter body, with modern useability and specs. So far so good. I could place all my lenses which i already had on this well finished body. What a giant dissapointment in the picture quality.

  • +

Nice to buy, even better to get rid off.

  • -

    Terrible picture quality

This camera is one of the best in the world in this price range . If you are highly focussed in photography aline Nikon D5100 is better . But Otherwise on all accounts , its the T3i/600D . The Advanced zoom at full HD without a telephoto lense is the best part .

  • +

Good Image Quality, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Perfect angles possible, Tilt /Swivel LCD

  • -

    Short Battery Life

The bag was too small when I added the Zoom Lens and battery grip so I switched it with a bag I had gotten for my old Zeiss Ikon. Has HDMI output but they only give you Composite (YRW). Ordered on Black Friday and received it on Wednesday.

The Camera is Amazing! 18MP with RAW and 1920 x 1080p HD video. Works with all EF or EF-S lenses. The kit comes with: EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens Extra Battery, Lens Pen, and 2 Filters Included RAW imaging software (it is limited but has all the aberration adjustments for all CANON EF/EF-S...

The Tripod barely come to my chest and seems too light for this Camera. Especially when coupled with the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens and Battery Grip. - I got a taller and heavier duty one from "WallyWorld" The memory card is a 4Gb MicroSD with a SD adapter.

I really liked my purchase and product. Its gives me wonderful images and videos. I really worth upgrade from my ever loved Canon EOS Rebel T1i to T3i. Vary angle LCD and live view in all modes are the most attractive features that I was looking with this upgrade. This gave me better pictures too..
