The M5 may have been a surprise, but the M6 confirms that Canon is committed to the enthusiast mirrorless segment – at least, in theory. While the lack of 4K video and sensor-shift stabilization is disappointing, there is very little not to like about the M6 when it comes to still photography,...

No 4K video, Digital stabilization lowers video quality, Very limited lens ecosystem, Optional EVF raises price above EOS M5
Canon has been doing great strides in the mirrorless category and the EOS M6 is a testament to this. With merely 6 months from the release of the M5, the EOS M6 made proper adjustments to the exterior of the camera that made it more vlogger-friendly.

No 4K video recording
The EOS M6 is a great camera for existing Canon enthusiasts and casual videographers alike. The autofocus performance continues to impress, and though many of its direct competitors offer 4K video and some form of viewfinder, the EOS M6 is a well-built camera capable of very good image quality.
If you have been waiting to jump into a Canon MILC and an APS-C sensor format works for you, the EOS M6 should be a great choice. While one may feel a tendency to treat a camera of this size as a point and shoot model, using it only for those still-important snapshot opportunities that pop up (it...
The Canon take on the mirrorless camera market has been interesting: having lackadaisically introduced the M-series system in a bid to avoid undercutting its own DSLR business, it had taken Canon years to establish a more viable M-series camera. That happened in 2016 with the EOS M5 .

Small scale, good build quality, capable autofocus, decent tilt-angle touchscreen control along with physical dials

Expensive without bettering the competition, lacks autofocus finery like its nearest competition, no 4K video smarts
It took me a while to warm to the Canon EOS M6, but the more I used it the more liked it. The camera sits in the hand nicely and a real strong point is its intuitive layout and controls that can be customised to suit one’s shooting preferences.
To get the best results out of the EOS M6/15-45mm combo you have to shoot raw files. And that's something snapshooters simply won't do. And with 99% of snapshooters using their smartphones for almost all of their shots, there's little to attract consumers to buy cameras like the M6.
Canons best mirrorless camera for vlogging! It takes good photos too :)There isn't much bad things to say about this camera. A bunch of good. I highly recommend this camera and the 15-45 mm lens is nice. Everything is crispy looking. Autofocus is fast and accurate.

No 4K option.
Pros: It is compact, produces amazing picture, video is a step from Canon eos M3 which has a sluggish autofocus and unpleasant video quality, user friendly, fast autofocus, sharp, and captures images really fast which is great for sports.
I have a Canon 5D4, which is a great camera. The main reason for me to also own an M-series is the small size. I want a camera that gives me great image quality, low-light response, speed, and the ability to use all of my lenses when needed, all in a small enough package that I can throw in a...
I changed a Canon g7x mk ii. For this camera. I changed it so I get the extra value of great quality pictures as well as video. The stabilisation for video is not as good, as the g7x, but it's still good.
