Seems simple but can't get it to sew pants. Gave up n did it by hand.
I hopped on this machine with little to no experience sewing and I became addicted to the craft!! I have fixed and created so many pieces of clothes after just one month. The YouTube tutorials are extremely helpful for setting it up and learning to use it
I bought this as a beginner machine and have completed several projects with it. I wish the foot pedal chord was longer, and had more control, but overall it is a solid machine with low maintenance.
At first I was intimidated by sewing machines bc I’ve never used one, but this was is AWESOME for beginners like myself! I practiced in scrap fabric and quickly got the hang of it. The instructional DVD is great and easy to follow!! 10/10 recommend!
The only reason I gave this little machine a 4-star rating is that it does not have a satin stitch. That is one of the things I wanted. That was a disappointment. Otherwise I absolutely love these machines. Brothers are so easy to use, portable, and light weight. This is my second Brother machine.
I wanted a more basic machine for a vacation home and I certainly got it. It sews fine, even thick fabrics, but it's not terribly smooth and is a tad loud. I'd probably buy it again because it serves the purpose but it's definitely a basic model.
I am enjoying the ease of learning something new. I enjoy all the features such as changing pressure feet it is something I will have to get use to but I feel this machine is a good fit for my small projects and maybe even some large ones later on.
I like this because it’s simpler and came with a dvd to teach me about using it. Also came with extra tools in case I wanna get my hands on. Would definitely recommend.

The machine has a good light over the sewing area which I like a lot. It came with a good variety of accessories, but no lint brush. The needle threader did not work for me I had to thread the needle manually.
