Broan EW5830SS Elite Series 30 Inch Wall Mount Convertible Hood

It was just installed yesterday and it looks great. On suggestion...remove or loosen the plastic on the back part of the unit before installing. My contractor left the plastic on until after it was installed which made it hard to get the little pieces off that were tucked against the wall.

Love this hood. We get a lot of positive comments from guest in our home how nice it looks instead of the microwave the builder wanted to put over our stainless steel stove. Not very noisy on the 2 lower speeds and you don't need speeds above that.

Love the removable/washable filters! A tinge louder than I would ideally like, but I'll take the noise with the functionality of the unit.

Depth on the chimney of 7" wasn't enough to allow for much slop considering the 6" diameter ventilation duct. I'm having a heck of a time installing it cleanly. Otherwise, good fan. Feature request: ultra quiet (and of course low volume) mode in addition to the powerful ones.

There are three light settings, which is great. There are three fan settings, which is great. Works perfectly in our new kitchen.

Looks great, works, great, perfect power. perfect lighting.
