I had carefully searched for flash for my Nikon D3200 and found the Nikon prices exorbitant. I looked at a number of inexpensive flashes and read the reviews. The SFD35 had some good and some very bad review but I thought it would be worth trying.

Its bright. Ttl. Changes all angles. Great, cheap, made pretty well, and does the job. I bought a slave flash for extra blam blam. Ka pow.

The Flash had very small text for the settings on it and the Power and Selector Settings had a very cheap feel to them. I ended up using the OEM Flash on my D3100 and compensating manually. I did not even go through the effort of installing the batteries into it.

I am currently a field biologist and wildlife photographer doing research using a Canon D-60 and a macro-lens to photograph stomach content samples from turtles as part of my research. Specifically, I am photographing aquatic insects, worms, and other macroinvertebrates.

This is a nice, compact, dedicated flash, for a very reasonable price.

Ordered this for my SL1. It did not work. TTL did not work. Pictures were way over exposed. Don't know what the problem was. Returned it.

OK, so the recycling time is longer than most cameras, about six seconds, but what can you expect from 4xAA batteries? I use it on-camera, or more often as a slave in studio settings, with an umbrella, made easy by the 180-deg swivel.

Not a Ferrari, but takes you from point A to point B, IYKWIM.
