I bought thes 201s because they fit under my new tv console perfectly. They look great but not the sound I was expecting from a Bose product.

We have had our Bose since 2011, we love them, but after rewiring these 3 times due to loud music, we have decided to convert them to wireless to element speaker wires running under the floor or around the living room.Has anyone ever done this before?

Retro but still packs the house with the Bose quality sound. Well worth the price!!

I got the Bose 201 series III for free from my BIL. I use the Bose with a Marantz NR1403 surround sound receiver. The Marantz is very good sounding for a SS receiver/amplifier. (I do prefer higher-end tube amps for stereo). The Bose produces a somewhat diffused, yet warm sound.

They look great and are inobtrusive at the same time. They really do sound great even playing mp3's from the computer through my Onkyo receiver, and can handle whatever the Onkyo throws at them. Seems like a really good price too...

  My girlfriend who is very sparing in her compliments, showed up at my house this weekend and immediately started loving the music I was playing. I asked her if it was the piece of music (she likes Classical music and it was Dvorak) or the sound of it.

  I had to go out to buy $2 worth of speaker wire to get it to work? Actually, I thought I had some in the house, so it was my fault.

After ten years of working and traveling, I finally found time to purchase a new turntable,receiver and the Bose 201's for my near mint collection of jazz and blues LP's.Sounds great! I don't know what I was waiting for!

These speakers replaced a pair of Polk Monitors I had for about 10 years. I was very impressed with the clarity these speakers produce across the sound spectrum. Clean highs ,mids,lows are good for the cab. and woofer size. These serve as my mains on my home theater system that has a sub.
