Bosch 500 24" Stainless Steel Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Energy Star

It is very quite dishwasher and cleans very well. Only complaint I have is door handle. After 3-4 months later, door handle started cracking. (silver part with chrome bezel part).

We bought this unit in August 2015. It works wonderfully - the gunky plates and messy pots and pans come out spotless (well, once in awhile we will have to do a little extra work on a particularly bad pan with baked on crud). The unit is so quiet that it is hard to hear when it is running.

DOES A GREAT JOB ON TOUGH STUCK ON FOOD. TAKES A LONG TIME TO COMPLETE A CYCLE BUT THEY ARE CLEAN. USES VERY LITTLE DETERGENT. WISH THE TIMER COUNTED DOWN.

Replaced a Kenmore when we remodeled and my wife's friend had a Bosch that she liked. The quality in her older one is much better than this one. I read the reviews on this and somewhat ignored the complaints. I wish I had not. It does have a smell issue and it's not a minor issue.

Pros: Quiet. Third rack for knives is nice. Cons: No heated dry and its "air dry" leaves dishes wet: major problem. Also, requires an electrician to install due to unusual wiring. Also has known problem with pocket door handle breaking. Would not buy another. Expensive.

We selected this model because it promised to be more quiet than our rusting Maytag. And it is.What the engineers did not get right is drying part. I don't care what setting, your dishes will not be dry when you open the machine.

I bought this dishwasher several months ago and our family has MOSTLY gotten used to it. We have had Bosch different dishwashers for more than 15 years. I have no complaints about dishes not getting dry enough or spotty glasses.

UPDATE 2017-08-05 Oh boy, does this thing STINK! Even though I clean the filter EVERY TIME I USE IT, there is 'crud' down in the sump. The sump is that hole that the filter swelters in. I really hate this thing. More and more every day.

Had this dishwasher for just under 4 years and now the E15 error is constant. I do the tilt to drain the pan but it just fills back up and gives the same error after one washing cycle. My first Bosch lasted 8 years. Very disappointed in Bosch and will ow look at other brands.

We've had this dishwasher for about 1.5 months now. Overall it cleans and dries the dishes OK. I programmed the "extra dry" feature to avoid problems with drying that many people complain about. But we have some issues with this machine: First a terrible smell when you open the door after a wash.
