Small size of this mixer has pluses and minuses. On the plus side, it feeds the audio into your computer as USB. The compressor is very easy to use and adjust and very useful. Simple EQ controls are nice to have and the phantom power.
This is the most massively useful mixer I have bought in decades! We run radio and TV remote sports broadcasts. Since the 1980's we have sworn by the old M257 for the fact that it has a compressor to keep the levels steady, even when the announcer gets excited during a scoring play.
Running USB out from a laptop to our PA system is the best it's sounded in years. Lisa was a great help working out the solution.
For my uses of home voiceover.... This is perfect... The Price is right and the USB Interface works well.
We use this as a bridge to input audio from our laptop USB into the PA system in our hall. Works great.
This is pretty versatile. I am using one in a research environment and it has worked out well. However, I did have one fail within the warranty period. A simple call to MusicTribe (manufactures of the device) and a new one was sent out immediately.
We use these in lecture halls to bring room audio (mics) to the computer for webcasts. Works like a champ!
I specifically bought this mixer as a stopgap between owning a Mackie 1604 VLZ board and a replacement. I also used, for a while, the Alesis Multi
This mixer has 5 inputs (one XLR OR Jack and 4 jacks) and an ACL entry in order to have several mixers. Level output, a hand out two jacks, one of Jack Phones and LCA output.
I bought this unit for my son to use with an SM58 mic (it provides 48V phantom power) for multitrack recording on a computer. It also makes it easier for him to switch between instruments. Haven't had any issues at all. Was plug and play on OSX and Linux. Seems sturdy.
