So as you probably could imagine by now, I can't speak highly enough of this device. If you're thinking of getting one and you would have to decide between say a Presonus, a Phonic or even a more expensive board, get the X32, you won't regret it.Regards, JK

If you don't need a large control surface, these two racks offer compact and affordable ways to harness Behringer's X32 mix engine.

The X32 Compact takes the heart of Behringer's flagship console and crams it into a cheaper, smaller package. We put it to the test.

As I mentioned in the main review, the entire analogue circuitry has come from the Midas boffins, from the XLRs to the A-D and D-A converters, which are Crystal CS5368 and CS4385 devices, respectively. Exactly the same design is employed in the S16 stage boxes, too.

This is a great product to use in almost every AV situation. There are a couple of minor instances where the operation is not totally intuitive and the odd instance where there is a development opportunity around the hardware. eg. having 2 faders tied up for a stereo channel.

This is a very complex and difficult mixer to learn. It's not like you can power it on and go, like a hardware based mixer with actual faders and knobs. It's all done via an iPad. Granted you can used the onboard knobs to make changes but you wouldn't want to because it's a lot of pushing, turning,...

Though we realize that taking this digital mixer board to full functionality is a steep learning curve, every step we've taken towards the goal has been very rewarding.

I've been working with this for about a year now after using a 16 channel Presonus for a few years. This was a massive upgrade. The options, the capabilities, the routing... it's amazing what you can do for the price point. The sound is incredibly clean and tight.

I was a bit worries to go from a full Mackie 16 channel board to this unit. I like the way I can route things all over with such ease. I don't need to have a rack of effects now, set up is fast.

I have been able to work on most every digital board that has been coming with the surge of them lately. Each time, every one has had its pains. The recorder/multi-track was too complicated and required too many components, the sound wasn't right, there were too many steps to make adjustments,...

There are a mountain of good reviews on you tube about the x32, so I’ll not try to go into a full on review. However, if you’re in the market for a digital desk with good, clean preamps, loads of connectivity, a well thought out operating system that’s easy to use, and lots of other useful features...

This is long anticipated unit that does everything very well, sounds great, and at a very reasonable price. I use it every week, and it does everything well. With the new FW 2.02 it just got even better, a whole new collection of FX, great RTA, and few other things added.

The touring case is well built and will be great preventing storage damage for us. The mixer has provided a huge improvement in sound quality, and has not been too difficult to learn. I appreciate the compact form of this X-32, but I would love the full size if I could afford the space.

I love this mixer. It's my first digital mixer. I love all the effects I can have per channel. The biggest plus is that I can use my phone to remotely mix the council.
