If you can overlook the jumbo charging case and high price, the Powerbeats Pro true wireless headphones are superior to the AirPods in a few key ways.

The Powerbeats Pro have better sound and battery life than the AirPods and will stay on your ears securely. They offer all the same basic conveniences of the 2019 AirPods, including fast pairing, rock-solid wireless connectivity and always-on Siri voice-recognition for iOS users.

The Powerbeats Pro are more expensive than AirPods. The charging case isn't pocket-friendly, nor does it offer wireless charging. The headphones deliver some treble push, and may not fit all ears perfectly.
The Beats Powerbeats Pro aren’t going to do much to end step-sibling rivalry in Cupertino, but some healthy family competition pays dividends for music fans. AirPods have shared their toys, in the shape of the Apple H1 Bluetooth chip, and Powerbeats Pro have run with it, adding features and talents...

Sound quality is great, Incredible battery life, Convenience of physical buttons, It's not just an Apple party

Charging case is huge, Ambient sound isolation, not cancellation, More expensive than many wireless earbuds
Apple’s latest earbuds may bear the Beats name and iconic style, but these feel much more like the next evolution for Apple’s wireless roadmap, outdoing the AirPods in almost every way.

Class-leading battery life, Water resistant, Secure fit, sleek design, Bold, vibrant sound

No basic battery gauge, Massive case, Intermittent connection issues
Now that Apple’s own Beats subsidiary has officially one-upped Apple’s true wireless headphones, I look forward to Apple returning the serve. Maybe with a pair of noise-cancelling studio headphones?

Good sound quality, Comfortable fit, Epic battery life

Pricey, Case is too big for your pocket
A secure fit, easy operation, and a bass-forward sound signature make the Powerbeats Pro ideal true wireless earphones for Beats fans.

Powerful audio performance with intense bass depth and bright highs. Strong battery life. Exceptionally secure in-ear fit.

Expensive. Wildly sculpted sound signature. Auto-play feature isn't for everyone.
Dr. Dre, the man who boasted about being the first billionaire in hip-hop after selling his Beats by Dre to Apple, can be forgiven for taking it easy these days. He has nothing left to prove to anyone.

Superbly comfortable and steady in the ear, even during intense workouts, Huge soundstage for true wireless earphones, Rich sound with satisfying bass thump, Sweat and water resistance, Epic battery life for the category

Laughably large carrying case, The treble energy can be fatiguing with long listening sessions, Wireless or USB-C charging would have been nice, Not the most discreet look for office or casual environments
If you're an iPhone user, AirPods can be attractive, but the PowerBeats Pro are the better companion for your smartphone. Sweat resistance, actual noise isolation, and a secure fit in your ears make these the true wireless earphones you want in Apple-land.

Bluetooth 5.0, Class 1, Apple's H1 chip allows for much greater flexibility, Sound quality, Secure fit

De-emphasized mids, Isolation not great, Cost
The Powerbeats Pro have the same over-ear hook design as the standard Powerbeats, but they ditch the wire connecting them. Apple and Beats fans can finally marvel at a great pair of true wireless earbuds.

De-emphasized mids Isolation not great Cost
I'm still torn on whether or not I like using the Powerbeats Pro more than the AirPods. I like the idea of better battery life, but then again, I rarely find myself completely draining the AirPods in one listening session.

Can take some time to get comfortable, The charging case is bulky
Beats took its time building a true wireless option for its headphone line, but the wait was mostly worth it. The Powerbeats Pro is a great all-around option for workout headphones, and the features, reliability and sound quality make it a solid choice for everyday use too.
I loved my Bose QC 35 cans, but after a while my ears and head would get too warm. They were my headphones for long trips and my AirPods were my workout buds. They fit well, but I found it too easy to accidentally knock them out of my ears. The sound was decent, but not like my Bose headphones.
Overall pretty impressed with the fit and performance of these. They are perfect for my workouts and pairing was too easy. I know the case is big, but I almost don’t need it. I put these in my pocket and carry on with the day. Stays in my ear for my long runs and good bass for when I’m lifting.
I had loved the AirPods, but they really only stayed in my ears when I was sitting or just walking. Not at all when working out. Which was fine, because I used other headphones for work outs, but I always missed the ease of connecting, the ear detection, and seamless use the AirPods offered.
My co-worker said he used to have issues with phone calls when he had Tiles installed on his phone. He could listen to music with his wireless Beats X, but when he would take a call, the connection would drop a few seconds in and the call would divert to his phone.
The AirPods I had always fell out of my ears at random times and I thought the sound was just 'ok'. The Powerbeats Pro stay put exactly as they should, and are very comfortable to wear. Some reviewers have complained about the sound, but I think it's excellent.
Wow! Finally!! A pair of earbuds, truly wireless, that stay in my ears - and made by Apple!! I bought the latest edition AirPods recently and returned them within 1 hr. These are gold standard and I knew from the moment I opened them out of the box they would be staying.
I was boxing and it did not fall out and a great sound for beats
I'm sure I'll get flamed here for saying something negative about an Apple product, but much as though I want to like these (the connection/pairing experience and iCloud sync across to my Mac and Apple Watch is so clever), the sound quality is...bleh.
I am getting ready to return these, I love the concept. They're intended for people with an active lifestyle, like me. They're sweat resistant and most importantly they won't fall out of my ears.
I like these as earphones for working out. They stay in ear well and audio quality is good. When it comes to phone calls, this is where the Beats fall woefully short. I get complaints that my call audio is poor, muffled, clicking and lots of background noise. Unacceptable for a $250 headset.
