They may not be a bargain at $300, but the new Beats Studio headphones are lighter and better-built, and sound significantly better than the original Beats Studio model.

  • +

The new Beats Studio headphones are lighter, sturdier, and better-sounding than the original Studio headphones. They offer a comfortable fit and active noise cancellation, which works well but not great.

  • -

Very faint hiss from noise cancellation; if the internal battery dies, the headphones don't work; fairly pricey at $300.

“$380 seems a little steep for what you get out of the Studio Wireless, but we’re pleased to see Beats head in a positive direction with its re-design.”

The original Monster Beats by Dr Dre model, the Studio is the headphone responsible for introducing an entire generation to high-end portable audio.

Another sizable downside to the Beats is their battery requirement. The option to have a non-amplified, passive setting lacking noise-canceling — even at the expense of degraded audio quality — would be a huge boon.

The Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones deliver the trifecta of sleek, comfortable design, useful features, and top-notch sound quality. If you can afford them, they're a worthy investment toward an improved listening experience.

  • +

The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones offer a stylish and comfortable design as well as an exceptionally crisp and balanced audio response with a tight low-end and warm mids. Included are a nice carrying case and a music-phone-compatible cable.

  • -

The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones cannot be used without batteries, they're expensive, and the glossy black design is very smudge-prone.

“While the new Beats Studio deliver a re-voiced sound as promised, the changes aren’t all for the better.”

The unique and stylish Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones offer solid audio, useful accessories, and a look that's anything but copycat. For fashion-forward folks with cash to spare, they're a great option.

  • +

The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones offer a stylish and comfortable design as well as exceptionally crisp audio response. Sound quality is mostly balanced, with warm mids and thumping bass. Included are a nice carrying case and a music-phone-compatible cable.

  • -

The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones cannot be used without batteries. Glossy black design is very smudge-prone, and a few songs sound harsh. Right earcup rattles while you walk.

Beats by Dr. Dre Studio: Strong bass and decent sound quality, but active noise-cancelling is too aggressive

In many ways the 2014 Studio Wireless headphones are markedly better than the previous versions. They're lighter, stronger and they look great, they're extremely comfortable and perform well over Bluetooth.

  • +

Great new design, Comfortable, Battery life

  • -

Less bassy sound, Louder noise cancelling hiss, Hugely expensive

The Studio headphones produce detailed and dynamic sound within a compact and comfortable frame. They provide effective ANC, and a battery which keeps them running for a very long time. However, the $429 price might just be too much to ask.

  • +

Comfortable and compact, Excellent detail, Long battery life, Volume range

  • -

    iOS-only, Glossy finish, Very expensive

People aren't intelligent enough to realize you're paying for the brand name as much as the item. If anyone owns an Apple product, you know what I mean. If you don't want to pay for the look, don't buy them. Anyone has the option to stick with their other ugly headphone brand.

  • +

Amazing sound quality, style is very nice. Best stylish headphones.

  • -

Price, batteries, whining people complaining about how not awesome they are.

I would recommend getting the Solo's as they are alot cheaper and they are near enough the same thing accept the studios are bigger!

If you ask me, you are simply paying for the name. I've had my fair share of sets, and the only thing that sets them apart are their look and their bass. When it comes to quality, I certainly would agree that monster knows what they are doing.

Clear Sound, Compact, Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile

  • -

Not 100 Soundproof, Over powering bass, Pricey / Poor Value, Sound bleeds BADLY

I purchased these locally after listening to several models on display. These won hands down compared to the others. I went shopping with the intent to buy bose and walked out with these.

  • +

  • -

Won't work without batteries Cable is too short Obviously they aren't cheap

Some people mention that these headphones arent all that good with sound.you have to fix your eq then listen to them.if you listen to them with the eq off on your ipod.you are not getting the full experience.some people complain about build quality.if you purchased real headphones you would see that...

  • +

These headphones are good.they are loud.bass is crazy.you feel the bass jumping on your ears.great design.sturdy and comfortable.

  • -

Price for starters.but there worth it.cables could have been a little longer.should work without the battery.
