I use this primarily for lecture videos but I have used this for field recording as well. I have been as close as 20' from the receiver and as far away as 120' from the receiver and there has been no deviation in the sound. Also the lavalier mic that comes with this unit is awesome.
This is the third System 10 ENG-style wireless system I've purchased -- this one replaced a Sure non-ENG system that is going to be illegal in the next couple of years. I've LOVED the System 10 ENG systems -- I've found the range to be excellent, the clarity to be excellent, and the battery life to...
I bought a pair of these so I could lav up actors for an indie film I was working on. Overall, they're great and quite easy to work with. The included mics are a bit difficult to hide regarding clothing noise (the element faces front, not up, and also I'm new to hiding lavs), but if no-one is moving...
I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this product worked. I bought it because of its small size, and because the receiver mounts to the top of the camera. It performed on par with the $2K Lectrosonics system i had been using before, but was much easier to travel with (size) and use (shoe...
This mic gives you fairly good audio. The biggest problem is the chargeable internal battery on the receiver. It only lasts about 7 hours and not 12 as they claim. If you shoot all day that is a problem. I would much rather have them run on AA so I can shoot as long as I need.
I love this product. The mic is small enough that it is easily hidden. The mic will pick up even when placed lower on your shirt. The only downside is that both the transmitter and receiver are not rechargeable.
Don't expect professional sound quality from this mic. It's simplistic functionality works against it, not allowing a certain bandwidth to be selected for the most robust signal. Had issues recording from 1/8 cable to FDR-AX100's mic jack. Works well with the Rode Vxlr.
It works fine but I get a lot of background noise. Ill continue testing it to get a better sound.
So far so good. I use it with multiple cams and it is working just fine. I even use it with a consumer cam. The Panasonic HC-V750. Sounds great. Not sure how long the internal battery will last, but I'm very happy so far.
I bought this system to go with my Sony A7ii for video productions. Unlike an Electrosonic that I use for news that cost thousand of dollars, I wanted a personal wireless that was cost effective that had good performance.
