I purchased an AT4050ST because I needed a stereo mic that would be able to give me quality sound in my tracks, but also lots of choices as to what I can do with it. I record vocals and guitar mostly, and it's just sooooo much easier to have a stereo mic that already has stereo modes built into it!

Ambience, Studio
I own quite a few microphones, each desirable for certain purposes. There is nothing like this microphone, which means that I will probably keep it as long as I need professional recording gear.
