Last week we brought you the teaser video of the unboxing and first impressions of the Audio Technica AT-LP120-USB Professional Vinyl Turntables. Well, we didn’t want to keep you waiting too long and we were able to put it through its paces in the Lab to let you know exactly how this “Technics...

Audio Technica gives Stanton a run for their money with their direct drive LP120. Their mid-range USB turntable features pitch lock for bpm changes that will not affect the pitch. 12, 10, and 7-inch records can be converted with three different speeds: 33, 78, and 45 RPM respectively.
Vinyl is the music medium that refuses to lie down and die. Cassettes, eight-tracks, even CDs come and go, but records continue to cling to their niche and even grow in popularity. This is partly a hipster-ish fashion thing, plus both the records and their paraphernalia are attractive.
Been wanting this player for a while and this player plays awesome!! this device is the real deal. Get one and be prepared to be amazed. not a technics but impressive to me. i had a lot of turntables growing up.

plays 40 year old records without skipping that my dad bought new in the 70's, some are even scratched . new records sound superb on this turntable.

does not have 16 rpm which can be slowed down to play with pitch at - 17.6 and still play those rare beauties. so really no cons.
I wavered a good deal between the AT-LP120USB and its bigger brother AT-LP1240USB. After scouring the internet and talking with audio/music geeks it really comes down to this...if you are a DJ who moves all the time and need a high-in build with extra bells and whistles then 1240 is your best bet,...
This is my first turntable purchase and totally happy with it. Assembly was a breeze out of the box. There's a short video on one of the Auto Technica's blog. The only thing is it's not automatic. you have to stop the motor once one side is finished so, don't fall asleep while listening.

Fixed RCA cable, Not fully automatic
Had a closet full of vinyl LP's I wanted to use, so I ordered this turntable. The included USB interface and software are great for taking old LP's and making them CD ready. Years ago I was into audio and great turntables, and this one recalls those days with the heavy platter and great features.
I'm not sure what to say about this one. Depends on what you're using it for. If you're DJing (especially scratching) you'll dump at least another 80 - $100 into this if you're a beginner/intermediate. If you're a pro, you already know you'll need more.
I have a large vinyl music collection and for some time have wanted to digitize my collection. This turntable is very similar in deign to an older Technics professional turntable that I still have, the primary difference in that this one has a USB output.
Bought this...but unfortunately i have to return it for a full credit. There are a few things wrong with this unit. One being that the left audio/speaker cable does not work. Overall the unit looks nice and simple.
Nice to hear the LPs playing again in this quality device. Everything works well and as advertised. Highly recommended product. A bit of inconvenience that it is a fully manual player so you must "baby sitter" it all the time.
The weight and construction is better than I had imagined. Sounds amazing
good replacement stylus.easy to install
