With the smaller 12.9-inch sibling of the big iPad Pro, Apple also offers a strong competitor to the iPad Air 2. We have already reviewed the elegant power tablet with the iPhone camera. Even though it is once again an exemplary product, there is still room for improvements.

very good display, stable Wi-Fi, Apple SIM (eSIM), great GPS module, good speakers, good battery runtimes, fast SoC

NFC only for Apple Pay, power adapter is too weak and gets hot under load, storage of the 32 GB version is slower, no quick-charge, long loading times, high price
For professionals looking for a grab-and-go tablet that can handle their workload -- and plenty of fun on the side -- the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is the tablet to buy.
We hate to start our conclusion with a cliché, but the iPad Pro 9.7 is the best tablet money can buy right now. Period. That’s partially because it is a well-built, feature packed piece of kit, but also greatly due to the fact that Apple’s rivals on the tablet market seem to have given up on...

Beautiful display with great outdoor visibility, Camera is comparable to those on the latest smartphones, All-day battery life, Apple Pencil is a well-made digital sketching tool, High-quality built-in speakers

Expensive for a tablet, starting at $599, Smart Keyboard is small, rather uncomfortable, and too expensive
"We believe that iPad is the perfect expression of the future of personal computing." So said Tim Cook at the introduction of the new iPad Pro 9.7 last week. It’s exactly the kind of phrase you...

Fast!, True Tone display, Great camera

Expensive, Smart Keyboard needs some work, Reach slightly exceeds its computing grasp
If the original iPad Pro was an OTT beast, a slab of strong ideas that didn't quite wow like an Apple launch should, this rethought, some would say safer, take on the tablet-laptop hybrid is far more likely to impress, if not stand out.

Iconic if familiar design, Powerful and versatile with stylus-friendly screen, Great display and speakers for movie-watching

Seriously expensive, Keyboard not as good as the big iPad Pro, iOS / Mac OS hybrid not quite there yet
After being neglected in 2015, Apple's 9.7-inch iPad has received a much-needed professional makeover, gaining key features from the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and even outperforming it in a few ways.
Apr 15 2016 - Apple made a fairly big mistake by not upgrading the iPad Air 2 last year but the new iPad Pro 9.7-inch is very much the successor to their premium tablet. It is far more affordable and portable than the full 12.9-inch model while even getting some better features such as the camera.
The same question surrounding the 12.9-inch iPad’s release last year, clouds the 9.7-inch iPad: who is it really for? If only the 9.7-inch iPad Pro was capable of dual-booting iOS and OS X, then it would likely be one of the best laptop/tablet hybrid devices available, but unfortunately this is not...

Sleek and small, More manageable than the 12.9-inch iPad, Worthy upgrade over the iPad Air 2

Expensive, Runs iOS, Not a laptop replacement for most
The iPad Pro 9.7 isn't just a slightly smaller version of the original Pro tablet. It's a more portable tab that boasts the same great performance in a much more comfortable-to-use form, at a much lower price.

Super portable, Crazy power, Great accessories, Sharp, gorgeous screen, Strong battery life
The 9.7 inch iPad Pro offers the same high performance as the full-size Pro, but in a more affordable and portable form. It's more capable than an iPad Air 2, with the new A9X processor, 32GB of RAM, and the 12 megapixel iSight camera borrowed from the iPhone 6s.
This tablet works for anything, from school, to games to web browsing to drawing. I use the tablet for Minecraft a lot and the game runs awesome. Also use it for school with the Apple Pencil. The tablet has a great operating system and it's very simple to use.

Wish it had OLED Display with better resolution
I was nervous to buy this iPad because of how much it costs, and how little I used my old one after a while (I upgraded from an iPad Retina). I couldn't be happier with it though. It's all but replaced my laptop! I moved into a new home about a month ago, & haven't even unpacked my laptop yet.
I like Apple products so i purchased the new iPad Pro. The 12.9" was too big so i got the 9.7" a perfect size for me. The tablet is excellent. The build quality is great. Screen is beautiful. iPad is fast and there are plenty of apps to choose from. I was surprised how good the camera is.
This is my best iPad thus far, and I've had almost each version! I love watching movies on this screen and streaming is perfect. The palm rejection works perfectly for me along with the Apple Pencil. That was the perfect marriage that I wish Apple could've come up with a while ago.

Battery Life
I bought this well over 5-6 months ago and I can't live without this thing! It's amazing in every way! If you plan on buying one make sure you go pick an Apple Pencil! You'll be glad you did!
Small size in iPad Pro wins. Great and convenient for travel. Works well on Wi-fi. Use mostly for productivity. Prefer the size and compatibility to my laptop.
The Pro was worth the extra $ over the new model, the plain iPad. More powerful, faster, etc. And, if you shop, you can find excellent prices at places like Sams.
I love my IPad. I decided to upgrade from the iPad mini and didn't want to go up to the larger size so this was perfect. The speed is excellent and it's still a very lightweight tablet. I especially love using it with the Apple Pencil for designing purposes.
I have had our iPad Pro for just over a month, and it is speedy, compatible and has a great screen. I don't have the Apple Pen, but have used another stylus that works very well with the tablet.
So far enjoying my IPad Pro. It's quick and loading programs have been a breeze. With 128 gb, I don't have to worry about space. Though I don't see me using all the features that it offers, I'm happy that they are there. This is my 3rd IPad and so far I'm very happy with the Pro.
