The Acer Predator G1 isn't the fastest or even smallest VR-ready desktop, but it's powerful enough for new games and VR headsets, and has a sense of fun missing from other gaming PCs.

The Acer Predator G1 is a speedy, reasonably priced gaming desktop with a fun sense of design and an optional custom briefcase for on-the-go gaming.

Performance is slower than other similarly equipped gaming desktops; limited ports; requires two bulky external power bricks, and you've got to really like the sci-fi tank tread design.
The Predator G1’s looks like a serious gaming powerhouse. But dig deeper, and it starts to feel like the G1 is built merely to be “good enough.” The Core i7-6700 is a strong chip, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the unlocked version found almost everywhere else.

Sharp, sturdy design, Solid 4K gaming performance, Quiet under load

-
Can be difficult to replace components, No overclocking, Doesn’t perform as well as expected, Too much bloatware
Acer’s Predator G1-710-70001 gaming desktop is priced as high as custom shop machines with unlocked processors and watercooling radiators. Although it appears to offer everything a PC gamer could ask for with its stylish design, RGB lighting, and extras, an enthusiast eye knows that you can find...

Price, Performance, Power Supply
Assuming its looks don’t turn you off, and you’re not planning to upgrade the guts anytime soon, this SFF is a solid pick. Just be sure to make space under your desk for the big bricks.

4K-capable gaming performance, Excellent cooling, Creative case lighting, Includes good-quality mechanical keyboard and mouse, Two-year warranty

External power adapters enlarge footprint, Difficult to upgrade, Love-it-or-hate-it design, SSD isn't PCI Express
Acer’s Predator G1-701-70001 gaming rig is here, arriving after the successful splash the G6 enjoyed . One look at the specification list is all you need to know that this is rig is a beast, but in a world where anyone can throw together top-of-the-line equipment into a formidable gaming PC, what...

Excellent hardware that won't be obsolete for a while, Extremely small footprint for a gaming desktop, Sleek exterior - this is a good looking PC

External power supply opens potential for damage, Small form factor limits options for expansion, Unique power supply could make upgrading components difficult
I almost want to recommend the Predator G1 on looks alone; it's just that attractive. But there are plenty of practical touches to back up the striking looks and awesome lighting effects, including two headphone racks and a front-facing USB Type-C port.

Slick, compact design, Awesome lighting options, Great gaming performance, Lots of extra goodies

Limited upgradability, No cheaper configs available (yet), Cumbersome power brick
We never got our hands on the compact Acer Predator G1 the year it first launched, but recently Acer Malaysia sent us an upgraded version of its desktop gaming PC. The Acer Predator G1 is not the smallest desktop gaming PC we’ve seen, but it’s compact enough to stay on a small desk.

Compact, Quiet, Peripherals included

Hard to upgrade, Huge power brick
The Acer Predator G1 is one of the smallest gaming desktops in existence, despite packing some serious hardware. That in itself is unusual. Adding to this is the novel power source solution that Acer has adopted to keep the size and weight of the machine low.
Acer has been pushing hard to get into the PC gameing world with two powerful and feature packed desktops. However, both the Predator G3 and Predator G6 fell flat in our book with underwhelming upgradability and unfinished interiors unfitting for their premium asking price.
I understand why the external bricks as the case is very small. It has color changing decorative LEDs but I have never cared about the case, only what is inside. It is just a box to me. I am getting very good frame rates with Far Cry 4 at 2560 X 1440.

2 External Power Bricks GeForce card has only 1 GB Video Memory according to Windows 10 System Information ( I should have looked closer, I assumed it had 8 GB as that is what all the cards I looked at had. My fault )
Yes I highly recommend this computer and yes I would buy it again.

This computer runs all my game perfectly. I have even maxed out all the graphic settings in Second Life and it runs smooth as butter.Very Very quiet. The keyboard is amazing.

It would be nice if they had put a Blu-Ray burner in it instead of just a DVD one.
