The ASUS MB16AHP is mediocre for most uses. It's best suited for displaying text documents because it has a narrow color gamut that makes it unsuitable for content creation. It's also not a good choice for gaming because it has a 60Hz refresh rate, slow response time, and no VRR support.

High pixel density., Great build quality., Low input lag.

Narrow color gamut., Colors look washed out from the side., Not bright enough to overcome intense glare.
Love the portability, the color, and battery life are good but the picture is soft. It reminds me of the old CRT monitors that had low DPI (dots per inch). With text on the screen, Windows magnification set to 100% the text is soft and fuzzy in apps like Word, Excel, and OneNote but is usable as my...
Pros: - Very sharp and rich colors, bright image - Very responsive (though haven't tried on games) - The smart cover makes adjusting viewing angles and portrait / landscape modes very easy - The use of a ball pen (provided) as a stand is a genius design - Made in Taiwan, build is sturdy and solid...
It looks neat. It's great you only need one usb type c cable for both charing and displaying. You can choose to charge it or not when connecting to your laptop. It's convenient that you can carry it around. However, the colors displayed are somewhat dull.
As I've started traveling for work, and become accustomed to my home & office setup with multiple monitors, I was looking for a way to do this when traveling. This has been a great monitor, and the only issues have come down to the Laptop (Mac/Windows) support for connectivity.
This is exactly what I needed for my third monitor and a travel second monitor. Downside is, the case as a stand is WAY too big for average desk space, so buy a metal stand for it. It also doesn’t allow me to change to a warmer setting for working later at night.
Promising but in the end unreliable.

Seems like a perfect fit for an on the go display.

It got so flaky after a while that I must find a way to return it. The display only powers on if a signal is detected, so forget trying to play with settings once it stops doing the handshake.
2/10 I travel non stop for work and recently decided to invest into a monitor. Besides the slightly clunky set up (the magnetized stand is flimsy at best) and the need to have it constantly plugged in (outlet only - a battery pack won’t work), it was functional at best.
I used this monitor at the outset of COVID as I started working remotely. This portable monitor wasn't that much different in terms of picture quality/size/etc than cheaper options, and after a year of fairly light use the only port USB 3.0 B has worn out and now won't work properly.
I charged it for days then turned it on at 56% and watched the battery drain in real-time while I was in the configuration menu. Am in the process of returning it.
I used this monitor a handful of times. It was never taken out of the house. When it actually worked the screen looked pretty good. Tried new cables and drivers to no avail. It's still under warranty but after hearing all the nightmares for folks who tried to get theirs fixed, I may not bother to...
