Average contrast, HDR looks only slightly better than SDR
The ASUS VG289Q is an affordable 28″ 4K IPS monitor with a wide color gamut support, AMD FreeSync, a fully ergonomic stand, and plenty of additional useful features.
-
+
Consistent and vibrant colors, Wide viewing angles, Good pixel response time and low input lag, Plenty of features including FreeSync up to 60Hz, Fully ergonomic stand, High pixel density

Narrow FreeSync range, Not as high contrast ratio as that of VA panels, Entry-level HDR only, No gamma presets available
With the Asus TUF Gaming VG289Q, you’re getting 4K resolution without the hefty price tag and with versatility in viewing positions. It does have some slight drawbacks that keep it from being a no-brainer.

Incredibly affordable for a 4K monitor, Extremely flexible in viewing positions including portrait mode, Gorgeous, accurate colors

Some stuttering at higher settings, Not true HDR, Navigation buttons a bit confusing
I really like this one. I removed scaling and put whole 4k resolution. It fits 4 times more information on the screen than 1920P resolution monitor. The stand is awesome. Also has speakers onboard.
I highly recommend this 4K monitor. The picture is beautiful. Simple set up. No issues at all!
Teh monitor is excellent and was a great price.
Good monitor i got it for gaming if u leave it at default settings its great..not mind blowing but great. IMO Rts/Moba settings. looks best and it seems to be smoother. Only thing is i paid almost $ 500 for this monitor and the retal price is around $300. So im kinda mad i paid over the RTP.
Using this on Windows with ASUS RX-STRIX-GTX1650 with DisplayPort. No dead pixels. No flicker. Very sharp. The stand is sturdy and adjustable. I waited years for 4K to reach this price point ($329) Satisfied.
