Overall the Asus PA248Q seemed to be a pretty good all-round screen. Asus have certainly done a good job of providing a decent range of options and extras. The stand offers a very nice range of adjustments, there are decent video connectivity options and the addition of USB 3.0 is a nice touch.

Good range of stand adjustments and additional USB 3.0 ports, Low lag and pretty decent response times for gaming, Good contrast ratio and black depth for an IPS panel

PWM used for backlight dimming, Older style AG coating may be too grainy for some people, Factory calibration didn't offer much, and hard to correct default gamma and white point
The Asus PA248Q is aimed at serious graphics professionals and enthusiasts and delivers great performance and plenty of features for the money. It offers more screen space than a typical 24inch display and offers a full set of adjustments and comes calibrated.
The Asus PA248Q ProArt Monitor is one of the finest 24 inch screens I have tested this year. It is attractively designed and clearly built to survive the test of time within an active studio environment.

No HDMI cable supplied., Not the slimmest panel on the market.
I have two high end Dell displays on my desk at work, and I was always amazed at how much better they looked than my 6-yea-old ViewSonic display at home. So I wasn't exactly disappointed when the ViewSonic bit the dust a couple of week ago.
An all round good performer that represents great value for the dollars spent. Great colours and clarity. Like the ability to easily turn monitor to "portrait" viewing.

Excellent monitor at a good price. Colour saturation and quality excellent. Comes with all the cables.

None to gripe about
This could be a 5 egg monitor, great picture and easy to navigate controls, but I'm docking one egg because after less than a year I have two dead pixels in the middle of my screen. Like a smudge of dirt I can't clean off and it's a huge annoyance.

- 16x10 ratio - USB 3 ports - Best OSD controls I've used, with customizable shortcuts is a nice added touch (I set them to PIP) - Excellent colors - Very sturdy stand, doesn't wobble or shake like many others. - Stays cool (my westinghouse 24" put out a lot of heat)
-
-
- Refresh rate is a little poor for fast-paced FPS games - Warranty on dead pixels is unacceptable
Terrific monitor, but first one I received had a scratched screen. The return process was relatively easy, but when I got the new monitor - this one in great condition - I could tell that the previous one had been opened and re-packaged.
I wanted a new computer, but not a new monitor. I really liked the one I had and I thought it was big enough. This one is SOOOO much better. The monitor seems huge without being overwhelming. The color is great, too!
I purchased this monitor for my photography post production work. For it's price it is an excellent choice. The set up was easy, It's calibration is simple with a ColorMunki and the size works very well for my needs.
Extremely difficult to alter settings and even then, regardless of how much time I took to adjust the color, it's terrible. So, while using my Mac for Photoshop/retouching, I position Asus vertically and simply use it for checking email and internet.
Bought this monitor so that my prints would look more like what I was seeing on the screen. Still waiting on the $20 rebate--almost ten week now!
