More choices mean lower prices and the MG28UQ makes a great addition to the list of affordable Ultra HD monitors. Even without FreeSync, it’s a very good display worthy of any desktop.

FreeSync, Ultra HD resolution, Value, Solid build, Fully-adjustable stand, Internal power supply, Well-implemented overdrive

Out-of-box accuracy, Middling contrast
For fans of 4K gaming, the Asus MG28UQ makes for a very robust piece of gaming technology with no serious flaws and very few minor flaws. We recommend it for gamers and casual non-gaming users in a home or office setting.

Great connectivity port layout, Includes AMD adaptive-Sync, Flexible, sturdy stand, Solid physical build, Great gaming performance

Poor color performance, Contrast is weak, Some backlight glow, Could use more USB ports
The MG24UQ’s IPS panel performs brilliantly without calibration and features a superb colour gamut. Also, the MG28UQ is one of the best TN screens I’ve encountered which manages to maintain good colour depth while offering a blisteringly fast response time.

24-inch model is difficult to purchase right now outside of the US.
In terms of performance for the money, we can't help but like the Asus MG28UQ. For less than £400 you get a capable 4K TN panel, that doesn't have major shortcomings in image quality; any that there are can only be revealed using a calibrator.
I've had my monitor for about a week and very much satisfied with it. Easy to connect and set controls. The only downside is that the connections in the back of the monitor (HDMI, USB, etc) are hard to reach. Also I wish it had more than just two USB ports.
Tip 1: If you have an NVidia card which allows it, set "vertical sync" to "fast" in NVidia control panel / Manage 3D settings (near the bottom of the Global page). It works nearly as well as G-Sync.

[Updated Oct-28-2016, see "Other Thoughts" section below] I've been using it for over a month and have had no significant problems. No dead or stuck pixels; no backlight bleed. Works great with my NVidia GTX 980Ti, after some tweaking (see tips below).

Only one minor issue, so far: The on-screen display is only 1080p, not 4K, so the UI menu text and gamer cursors are a little blocky (each UI pixel is stretched to 2x2 pixels on the display).
Bought this for my new I7 8700K build. Plays all my games at Ultra settings. PUBG, BF1, Titan Fall 2 look stunning. Has all the features a FPS player needs. Even has a crosshair overlay mode for FPS. Great buy for $350.
Superb colours and sharpness of 4K images, strongly recommend this product
Everything looks beautiful on this monitor. I was sold when I saw that it flipped to portrait! If you do any sort of work that requires writing in text editors, portrait mode is amazing.
Monitor was quick and easy to setup - the weight and feel of the monitor is excellent - it looks and feels like a quality made product - settings are pretty easy to work with - all around very satisfied with this ASUS 4k monitor
Highly recommended. Very very low input lag, excellent screen visuals. Cons - comes without a UK plug but thatu2019s it.
The best monitor for ps4 pro and is amazing ......
