The MB168B+ costs about £160, not that much more than standard 22-24" desktop monitors with Full HD resolution. If you want a notebook with that type of resolution, you typically have to spend at least £800. Plus the screen will be smaller, or the laptop will be a bulky 2.5 kg.
The MB168B+ does have some of the limitations of TN panels, but it has virtually none of those associated with USB screens. It keeps the ease of setup, but adds fantastic 1080p support, and hardware that can make a superbly smooth job of HD movies, and that works fairly well with games too.
I needed a second monitor to use with my laptop away from the office. This monitor is exactly what I was looking for. The screen is a good size and the resolution is adequate. It is very lightweight, connects to the laptop with only a USB cord (no additional power cord).
- keep in mind that this is a USB screen. It is not going through the video card, so it is not the best solution for graphic intense applications.

- portability > I travel with two of these and use them everyday in a 3 monitor setup flanking my laptop for work. The thin profile and minimal case is perfect. I actually had one dropped from 4feet by accident and it is operating like normal.
