I own several mics (including AKG D5, and the usual Beta58 and 58). For my voice the D7 is the best. Open and cut the mix. The D5 is too muddy for me. The beta 58 is also fine but on my voice (baritenor) it is more middle. The best remains the D7.Recommended
I am a professional vocalist and voice coach... I own about 60 mics... many of them are great... this mic in in the top 5... its really great!......
I have a unit for one year and have been using it for all vocal recordings (in my home stutio) for my band since then. It's no surprise for me that it's capsule is known as "refference".
I have this microphone for 2 years now excellent choice. Strong and give a beautiful sound.
I bought this a few months ago. No regret! it is very suitable for my voice. Thank you AKG!
