I bought a VIXIA HF R82 camera a month ago and not happy with the editing features that are built into the camera. Takes to long to use it, it is to slow am I doing something wrong or do you have better software or do you know of a better software a person can use with it on their computer.
Nice camera with good zoom and ease of operation. My issue is that I would like to use it for filming skiers at a distance but the stability is lacking, also the focus is not as quick as I need. Not sure if it fits my use.
Good camera for the value, the only disappointments where that using some functions disabled other functions that would be great to use together. Other slightly annoying feature is that you have disable the a/v output each time you want to use that jack as an ear phone jack.
Enough options to film my kids friends in the park with ease. So nimble I can get out there myself and hang with them while I record. Would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone trying to film kids or make a home movie ;0
The camera video quality is fine for our needs. However connecting to a tablet or phone is not user friendly.
I'm using two of these along with a Canon XF300 for a broadcast of a weekly music TV online live show and podcast. . .alone. The R82 has the optics but not all the bells and whispers of the more expensive Canon. Switching from camera to camera you can't notice the difference.
The setup and use of the camcorder went very smoothly. I bought the recommended tripod for the video series I am shooting. I use a mic but the built in one worked real well with minimal feedback.
This camera is clearly a consumer one, takes good pictures and you can shoot up to 35 Megabytes per second in MP4. Navigating through the functions can be a little confusing at first, but once you get use to it, the navigation is not too difficult.
This is a nice little camera. It’s compact, easy to use with intuitive controls, and the video quality is great. It’s very lightweight and easy to handle. It also has some cool trick features, like shading videos to make them look bluish or giving it an old movie look. The battery lasts a long time.
We purchased this camera after speaking with several people in person about its features, namely the “WiFi” capabilities. What we’ve learned since then is that this high selling point feature is absolutely worthless.
